Understanding the truth about her past was essential for Eisha to understand her future. 

It was hard to accept at first that she and Jazzlyn were related. However, she was still able to come to terms with it. However, it only made her more curious about her past. 

Curious to know more about the person that created the darkness and how it was that she had not heard of her family until then. 

There were plenty of chances over the years for Jazzlyn, Aurelia, and the darkness to show up in her life. It puzzled her why they stayed away for so long only to come into her life now. 

At this point in her life when she is opening her heart to new people. When the possibility of having a normal relationship was striking at her doorstep.
