Capítulo 34: Choosing the leader...
"What final goal are you looking for in this historical event…?"
The crowd went silent as they heard Aarv's question. What final goal are they willing to achieve…?
Some said that they wanted to defeat the foreign invaders, while others said that they wanted to stop Prithviraj Chauhan and the other kings from making mistakes.
There was one answer in particular that Aarv liked a lot. He looked at the lord in the corner with a much softer gaze. The lord was Pradeep Singh and belonged to the Rajput clan. He said, "I want to take revenge… I want all the foreign invaders to feel the same pain that my ancestors felt when they were mercilessly killed by the invaders. I want them to feel the same pain as my ancestors felt when they watched their wives and sisters jump into flames."
He looked at the crowd with a crazy look in his eyes and said, "I want all of them to kneel and beg for their lives. I want to make them feel the same despair and helplessness that my ancestors felt."
At the end of his sentence, Pradeep felt so breathless that he started to pant heavily…
"Haah… Haah…"
Aarv went towards him, patted his shoulder and said, "Your feeling of taking revenge is not wrong… but in my opinion, it is too short-sighted…"
He then looked at the crowd in front of him and said,
"Not only do I want to bury the Arab forces, I also want to remove them from the roots…"
"I want Hindu Arabia… Just like it was before the birth of Islam… Just like it was at the time of Chakravarti Samrat Vikramaditya…"
As soon as the last name was mentioned the whole venue fell silent. Some were confused by the name while others were shocked by Aarv's declaration. They knew who Chakravarti Samrat Vikramaditya was. He was the only Chakravarti Emperor of India whose empire stretched from modern-day Persia in the west to all of China in the east, from modern-day Mongolia in the north to Sri Lanka in the south. It was the biggest empire to ever exist on earth.
Author note: Chakravarti is a title which means the king who won the whole world and has no competition now.
The crowd was still digesting the information when Radha suddenly spoke, "I think we should let Aarv lead everyone…"
To which those who knew Samrat Vikramaditya started to nod one after another. They also wished to see Sanatan dharma once again rise to the top of the world.
Aarv looked calmly at the other four people that were seated beside Radha. In India, there were five major families that controlled the ins and outs of the country. They were the Advani family, the Patel family, the Vaidya family, the Agarwal family and the Bhosle family. Each family had young masters that these families specifically chose as their family leaders.
The four people in front of Aarv were basically these four young family heads of these families. Supriya Patel, Radha Vaidya, John Agarwal and Pankaj Advani were all their names.
This time John finally expressed his opinion. He said, "As long as we win, I don't care who leads them…"
Within a single sentence he expressed a lot of things, the major one was that he personally would not listen to the leader's orders.
Supriya tagged along with John on this one and said, "As long as it doesn't affect my freedom I won't mind Aarv being the leader…"
Aarv was not surprised by their response as they would prefer to be independent rather than listen to others. Especially when that certain someone is equal in status to them.
'I will make you all listen to me…!'
Aarv made a determined vow as he watched the uninterested gazes of Pankaj and Supriya. The crowd also went silent after these two 'young scion's remarks.
Throughout the history of India, there was never a time when the whole country was united. While foreign forces kept getting stronger, instead of joining forces, all our leaders did was fight among themselves.
It was not that there was no leader, in fact, there were many leaders in Indian history but, they never thought of India as a whole, all they cared about was their territory.
Seeing the situation going downhill, Pankaj Advani quickly stepped up and said, "Well for this historical event we will appoint Aarv as our leader… "
Although he competed with Aarv, right now was not the time for the competition. Both Aarv and Pankaj understood that, so they chose to compromise on time to save the situation.
"Now let us talk about strategies we can use…"
All of them started to discuss different strategies which can be used inside the game. This time, both John and Supria also participated in making strategies.
This meeting lasted the whole night and all the lords left the grand hotel early in the morning. Before leaving, Aarv decided to talk to Shama about his secret backup plan.
He approached Shama, handed her a letter and said, "Help me find these… they might be helpful in our historical event…"
Shama looked at the letter. The letter contained only two words,
"Nagfani and Thousand-mile fragrance…"
Both of them were names of herbs used in secret weapon making.
Shama looked at the herb names and then towards Aarv and nodded heavily. She knew Aarv's plan just by looking at these herbs.
"Also keep these things a secret… you know that we have lords that would love to help out the enemy during the quest…"
Although the historical event said that players have only one side, the quest did not mention betraying their side. So, Aarv decided to remain vigilant against such backstabbing threats.
Shama understood these threats as well. She nodded at Aarv and ran in the direction of his sister.
