Capítulo 68: The Following Charade

It was a first.

Elizabeth's appreciation was short felt and quickly dismissed. But it was a positive emotion on her side.

It counted as an improvement.

All the hours I spent with Joshua —drilling my head with information and sending me tips on mind control every now and then— had paid off. Elizabeth was not dead on the inside. She only wanted to be.

This was what I genuinely wanted to believe.

Everyone acted as if the accused wasn't glowing red. They took my orders seriously.

As they should from now on.

A gust of wind swept by in the clearing bringing me back to the moment, it wasn't the time to daydream. And so I paid more attention to Herbert.
