Capítulo 96: FOLLOW THE FLUTE...

After what felt like an hour, Ms. Lillith slid the white curtain aside in a calm manner. Both the men's gazes traveled passed her and then back to the doctor who gestured for Josh to have a word with her. But before Ms. Lillith could take a step ahead toward the exit, Astrel slammed his hand on the table startling both the doctors.

"Not before you tell me what it is," he gave a threatening glare. Ms. Lillith felt nervous under his cold gaze. She nodded her head hesitantly as soon as she saw Josh nod his head. She felt sweat trickle down her back, soaking her dress. Astrel left the room, waiting for them to come out patiently.

"What do you think you're doing?!" whispered yelled the lady doctor at Josh. He patted her shoulder and nudged her to step out of the room with a pleading look. Ms. Lillith sighed and walked out, giving one last look at the patient she had treated just a while ago.

The two doctors spoke seriously regarding Vilian's condition while the third person stood leaning against the wall, listening to the conversation intently though he kept his expression blank. The more they dived into it, the more they felt confused about the situation.

"She seems fine, though. Better get the girl to her than delay it any further," Lillith said, rubbing her cold stethoscope.

"Lillith's right, Aster. It's no use in keeping it away from the girl when she's aware of our kind," added Josh. "Not to say, the dark witches have been trying to keep a tab on her," he said in a low voice.

"They did?!" Lillith's eyes widened in disbeliefment

"Shh!!!" Josh shushed her immediately.

"They did?" she questioned in a whisper, the second time and got a nod from Josh. Astrel seemed to be thinking deeply, paying no heed to their conversation about the very incident that had conspired a few weeks back. Lillith seemed so interested in it gasping now and then as she listened to what Josh narrated, though she knew he was exaggerating things more than it already was. They didn't seem like doctors, more like some long-time friends gathered to gossip about their life. But was interrupted by a young nurse.

"Good afternoon, sir! Good afternoon, Ms. Lillith!" greeted the nurse, bowing her head and speaking nervously, "Sir, if you would not mind," she gestured for Josh to come closer to her, and she whispered something into his ears.

"Start it right away!" He seemed alert, "I'll be right there," Josh immediately excused himself and walked with the nurse who interrupted the two's conversation.

"I better leave too. Do keep an eye on her," She said, pointing at the closed room, and ran after Josh.

Astrel said nothing but walked into the room and locked the door. Approaching the white bed, he gazed at Vilian, sleeping peacefully. She was fully dressed, just like the way she was before the drug lulled her. He had to take her to Kenia, the witch residing nearby his mansion.

Not waiting for her to steer up from her sleep, he took her in his arms and teleported into his car's rear seat. Laying her carefully, he looked around and spotted her grey coat lying on the shotgun seat. He covered her with it and stepped out of the car, walking over to the driver's seat.

Walking through a strange but beautiful green land sheltered by the mighty trees, Vilian heard a playing of an enchanting flute forcing her to walk towards it. She tried to stop doing so but strangely could not. She heard it stop all of a sudden stopping her tracks abruptly. But then, the instrument played from a different direction dragging her into a denser path of the thick forest.

Walking further through the lush green path, feeling the slight breeze hit her, sliding her long golden fringes forward, she tucked them behind her cold ears. Vilian frowned, not remembering when and how had she come to this strange place. Suddenly her feet came to a halt. Vilian tilted her head, gazing in front of her. For some reason, she felt like the things wobbling like jelly in front of her. The trees, the leaves, the floor, and whatever was in front of her pulling her forward. But her leg refused to do so.

She waved her hands forward only to retract them back gasping out in fear. She could see her extended hands but was sure she felt them moving the way she moved them. Vilian took three steps back but felt someone push her from behind into the wobbly thing that was in front of her.

"ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!" she screamed, shutting her eyes tight, only to wake up with screams.

"It was just a dream..." she whispered patting her chest. She fluttered her eyelashes trying to open her eyes. With a frown, she observed her surroundings with a blurry vision. Rubbing her eyes twice or thrice, she gazed up again and sat upright in a panic.

"What am I doing under a tree?"

"Where is this place?" she questioned confusedly. 'Was she sleeping under a tree amidst... what looks like... A FOREST!!!' screamed her mind widening her eyes.

A cold breeze swept past her shivering her whole body. She glanced down at her and gasped, looking at her strange dress. It was a pale green puffy off-shoulder dress with a mermaid neckline followed by a princess waistline. A hoody was attached to the neckline. Below the waist, the dress was slit from four sides, revealing her fair long legs. Vilian immediately stood up gazing and touching the strange dress fitting onto her body. Just who put this onto her? How come she was wearing it? Was she dreaming in another dream? thought Vilian and glanced down at the little mat she was standing on. She frowned and squatted down grabbing the folded paper that she spotted.

In beautiful cursive handwriting it was written, 'Follow the flute...'

"Flute? There's..." she paused, hearing the faint melody playing from afar.
