Capítulo 68: Chapter 65
I go back to the house. I have exterminated our enemy. The threat looming over us is gone. But System said that there was a god with them. What happened to that god?
(That god was a minor one. The current you can easily dispose of such pests.)
"So that's how it was. Won't I get anything special for killing a god?"
(No. You are already stronger than the target. You can only get special rewards when you defeat someone stronger than you.)
"Such a stingy person."
I voice my discontent. But anyway, we are free. How will I travel outside?
(Wait until Aegis finishes her evolution. After she becomes an intelligent weapon, she could solve that problem in one go.)
"That's good."
So I can travel in space with Aegis. That's good. The sun is up. I think it's about 7 in the morning.
I open the door and find Hazel waiting.
"Welcome back master." (Hazel)
"I'm back. Hazel, how did you know that I was out?"
"When I woke up, I saw a big flash in the sky and sensed that master was outside. So I came down here to greet you." (Hazel)
"You felt my presence?"
"Not exactly presence but I knew where you were. It was like intuition telling me you were outside." (Hazel)
"So, you can say where I am?"
"Yes, master. I can feel your presence." (Hazel)
(What happened here?)
(Nothing. As I said before, your genealogy will get new abilities as you have become stronger. They can feel your general location now.) (System)
(I see.)
"Are they up yet?"
"Not yet master." (Hazel)
"Then let's wait for them. We have things to discuss."
I say that and go to the living room and slump down on the sofa. Hazel sat beside me.
Yup, I think I know what to do.
I start rubbing her head. And she is just sitting there, her eyes closed.
"Hazel, how do you feel?"
"I feel great master. My body feels light. Like I was reborn." (Hazel)
"I see. So the gift has already taken effect."
"Master, did you get strong again?" (Hazel)
"Yes. And I have disposed of those pesky invaders. They hadn't even arrived but I attacked them from here and disposed of them."
"How did you do that, master?" (Hazel)
"I got stronger in my sleep. So I took care of them. And I will introduce you to two new friends. They will be joining us."
"New friends? Master, don't tell me you were picking up girls while we were asleep?" (Hazel)
"No. They were with us from the beginning."
I bring out Aera and Aegis.
"These are the two friends I was talking about."
"Master, aren't they your weapons?" (Hazel)
"Yes. Aera, greet her."
"Nice to meet you, big sister Hazel. Master has named me Aera. I am an intelligent weapon." (Aera)
Hazel jumped up from the sofa. But I held her down.
"Master…master…the gun….it spoke." (Hazel)
"Calm down Hazel. And you are being rude to Aera. She isn't a normal gun. She is an intelligent <Spirit> gun. She has developed a consciousness after I became stronger than before."
I try to explain. And I explained things to Hazel omitting the dream part. I don't know what she would do if I told her that.
"I see. So she has come to life after you became stronger. But why did she call me big sister?" (Hazel)
"It's because she is 8 years old. So you all are technically her big sisters except Eden. And Aegis is still developing her consciousness. She will come to life as well."
"So we got two new companions. But master, you said that the enemy is gone. What will you do now?" (Hazel)
"The plan is the same as before. I will explore the world. Not this world but the whole universe. Since Fay came here, she proved that there is life outside of this planet. We have found ways of traveling to those planets. So I will travel and discover. And after discovering enough, I will retire."
"Retire? That sounds good. We will just stay at home without any worries." (Hazel)
Hazel hugged me and put her head on my chest. I had to recline a bit.
"Yeah. But that's in the future. For now, we should discuss things with Aura and Fay."
"Yes. What will they do?" (Hazel)
"Isn't it obvious?"
We heard a voice from behind. I looked that way and saw both of them.
"You are awake!"
"Yes. And we heard everything. So you got rid of Duke Martin and got some new powers." (Fay)
"Hey, I didn't feel your presence. So how did you two sneak up on me?"
"We didn't do anything. But I think I know why." (Fay)
"Why?"
"Clive, you feel too powerful to us. Like you are not there and yet you are there. I can't feel your life force at all. But the pressure you give is enormous. Isn't that right, Aura?" (Fay)
"It's as you say. I can only feel pressure from him. I feel that I would be crushed by it." (Aura)
"Hazel, do you feel the same?"
"No. I can totally feel master." (Hazel)
"I see. So Hazel has already adapted to my new strength. But you two need some time. Anyway, we have things to discuss but I need to do something about this. I can't feel your presence at all."
"I guess, you have become so powerful that we don't even matter to you. You can't feel anything less strong than you. Clive, focus and feel. What presence do you feel?" (Fay)
I focus my mind and try to feel the magic and life force. But I am picking up on a few things. And it's not them.
"I can feel…this planet. And a few people within it. But I can't feel anything else."
"As I thought. You have become too powerful. You can feel the presence of the planet. That's the same as the gods. But who are those you felt within the planet?" (Fay)
"I think I know. But anyway, we can leave as soon as Aegis develops. So what will it be?"
"Do you even have to ask? I will go with you. Besides, what will I do alone on this planet?" (Fay)
"Me too. You are my husband after all. You can't leave your wife and daughter behind." (Aura)
"Ok. Then let's prepare for our departure. We will finally leave this planet called Earth and head for Jupiter."
"Yes, master." (Hazel)
And thus ended our travel of this Earth. Next, we will be in space and we will reach Jupiter. What will happen when we reach that planet? We will see.
