It was a calm day in the middle of spring, Albert had filled his book with all sorts of hybrids he made using the flora of the Far, Far Range. The Nebula flower so far had been one of the most fruitful experiments he had done while the hungry mushrooms were one of the worst. As the name explained the Hungry mushrooms were omnivorous mushrooms that ate anything in their path leaving a munched up and digested version of what they had eaten. Perfect for composting.
The flowers were blooming and a few produced small clouds of colored smoke while some spouted flames or sparks. Flowers were blooming and the skies laughed, the wind was grinning and the sun was joyful. Only when spring came would the world seem like a celebration, crops would grow and people would be fed.
But doing the same action would of course become habitual at some point, almost like a daily chore like brushing your teeth. With that logic, Albert found himself continuously writing and documenting every little detail about flora and fauna in his notebook, observing how flowers would open when blooming down to the millimeter and documenting how many feathers the average roostro had in comparison to Hens.
But he remembered one thing he did once that made him smile, he scared the hell out of Beatrix. But simply scaring her wasn't enough, he wanted to give her a little present. He activated his quantum trait and slammed his book on the table, as the book simply bounced off the table. Another thumping sound occurred beneath the table, it was another book. The laws of physics did not apply to Albert, only those of Thermodynamics.
He used his quantum trait to essentially make his book form a version of itself with the other dimension that he could use to teleport.
Soon enough he was at the glass desert with the book in his hands as his body flashed yellow and grey before his silhouette turned into a jumbling mess of lines and disappeared. The previously barren desert around him turned into a luscious oasis with beautiful palm trees and strangely shaped cacti scattered across the land.
He was currently sitting on the edge of a gray brick wall, lightly covered by moss and vegetation. The sky was dark yet again as the slimes around him looked at him with curiosity. As the stars finally started shining a bright rainbow color, a lightly tanned woman with cyan hair walked into the plaza. Her eyes met with something she didn't think she would have seen again, Those bright white eyes that she have sworn could see into her soul were piercing through her.
Those eyes suddenly disappeared as a thump sounded in front of her. The cause of the sound was a... book? The book's title read.
"The Flora of the Far, Far Range"
"By Albert Auditore"
(Authors note: Whoever knows the reference here is a legend)
'Who is Albert Auditore'
'What is this Book?'
'Why are there so many plants that don't exist in this book?'
These were a few of the many questions that flooded Beatrix's mind as she read through the book. The detail in it was incredible, and the art was nice but what was interesting was the chapter of the book that read "Hybrid species" this chapter showed incredibly strange plants that she hadn't ever seen in her life. What was a nebula flower and why did it produce spores like a mushroom? How could whisky be made from fire flowers? How could these plants be grown on the ranch?
The book was almost like a ...gift? This person... or whatever he was, man, god or even demon.
This person was... interesting to say the least
But Albert at this moment had teleported to his home, the kitchen. He grabbed his cookbook and flipped through the pages until he found what he wanted.
Gilded ginger chicken.
He took a bunch of chicken thighs from the painted hens he had in his freezer and placed it to marinate in the juice of a phase lemon along with fire flower powder and a tad bit of wild cotton flower.
At his cutting board he cut off a thumb size peice of gilded ginger and chopped it into peices, He then grabbed some wild herbs that he got from the wilds and grinded them in the mortar and pestal before placing it in a pot of hot wild flower sap, the previously milky white sap turning a little green as he stirred.
He grabbed some silver parsely and chopped it up into small peices into bite size peices. Then he grabbed and placeed the parsely into the soup with the ginger and the soup now had a more ginger smell and took on a emerald green type of color. The chicken had been done marinating for about half an hour as he took it out and chopped it into small cubes and tossed it in the pot.
The smell was delicious but he had another thing to make.
He took some prickly pear and carefully peeled it. As he finished with that he went outside and plucked some cuberries and grabbed some nectar from the prickly pear trees.
He cut the cuberries into eighths and mashed the prickly pear until it made a jelly. He then placed the cuberries and prickly pear jelly and nectar and mixed, soon enough he then added a table spoon of sugar and 2 table spoons of corn starch(stolen from Ogden), aswell as a half cup of butter.
When he finished mixing he had a smooth and thick purple mixture. He then grabbed some baked pie crust and poured the mix in. He placed it in the fridge next and went to the pot, he used a ladel to scoop out some soup on to a plate and started eating.
The ginger had an overpowering taste that the silver parsnip only amplified, however with the painted chicken and spices it tasted almost exactly like a calming chicken soup. When he was done however he took the pot that was still hot along with a slice of the prickly pear pie and placed it on the table in Beatrix's house.
Only a few seconds after Albert left, Beatrix entered her home fatigued. On her table she saw a pot of hot chicken soup that when she tried it, it almost made her feel like she had just woken up. The pie though was incredible, it had a sweet mellow taste that was like a mix of strawberries, watermelon and classic bubble gum.
She didn't know who placed the soup there, the only thing she could do was be grateful towards the person who made it...

Sorry for making the chapters a bit late! I was in a lot of family drama which could have ended in disaster.
But either way I am Happy to be back!
