"You are not going to help me, are you?" I

asked him and blinked back tears.

"I'm sorry, Kaley" Noah said, his face was unreadable.

Was he really sorry or was it one of those things people said because it's the only thing to be said?

I moved closer.

Accepting no wasn't going to go that easy…not when everything is at stake.

I grabbed his hand and held on to him tightly.

"Do you understand that if you don't help me that he is going to kill me? I'm going to be dead and Katy will be forced to be his wife" I told him in a shaky voice.

"My war fighting days are over, Alpha Kaley" Noah stated as a matter of fact.

I laughed like a crazed lunatic. I laughed for a while, at the same time tears dropped down my face.

Then I stopped.
