Chapter 160: Coughing 

Ari's POV 

We walked with Abel through the hallway that led to the ward. Abel was intrigued. 

With what he heard about my mom he must think she had liquid iron flowing through her vein but she looked human to him.

 Abel like every other person who came in contact with my mom liked her well enough except for the part where she thought he wasn't competent enough to care for her son.

Abel opened the door and ushered us inside. Leila was sitting beside Owen playing with his facial hair.

"Mom!" She yelled and jumped on Elise who still treated her with indifference sometimes even after five years of Leila been raised in the White household but to be fair, it was Alpha Noah that adopted Leila not mom. It was one of the larger arguments that was had in our house.

But Leila's love was pure and it was hard to stay indifferent to and even Elise wasn't immune to that.
