Emily POV

"We will be fine, Emily. All that matters is that we are together" Eloise told me.

I stopped and I tried to get my pounding heart to be still. 

"We won't be. There is something I should have mentioned earlier. The crescent pack will take you but not me…so, you have to go alone. You have to go without me" I said quickly before I could chicken out.

I saw as the light in my mother's eyes died. 

I tried to hold on to her tightly like Waylen did for me but I was no match for a beta wolf with an actual Wolf, crazy or not.

"Wait what?"

 Eloise pushed me away.

Maybe, I should explain. 

Explaining would go a long way to convince her of the inevitable, right? It didn't do shit for me hearing Waylen explain why I had to say goodbye to my mother but maybe, it would help Eloise.

I cleared my throat and I started.
