Alicia’s POV

It’s been a couple of days since Adrian and I attended Finch’s wedding and life couldn’t be more blissful. My relationship with Adrian is the best it’s been since getting married. I don’t know what shifted within Adrian to make him more affectionate and loving – allowing him to let his guard down – but whatever it is, I’m grateful for it.

I would like to believe I had some effect on the new and improved Adrian, but I don’t want to be naïve and think I’m the sole reason why his mood has shifted this past week. His cold demeanor has shifted into one of love and kindness whenever he looks at me. His days of being cruel and mean toward me are gone and are now replaced with him genuinely wanting to be around me and get to know me better – as mates should.
