Capítulo 19: Chapter 19: His Body on Mine

Alicia’s POV

My head feels as though it’s filled with cement, and my limbs with lead.

My body weighs a ton, keeping me locked in place as I fight to open my eyes. It’s difficult because, although my head feels heavy, a migraine is lurking in the back, making my head thump even harder.

Before I can open my eyes, I hear the shuffling of footsteps and quiet whispering, which it sounds louder in my head as I try to focus and connect voices to faces.

Adrian’s deep tone stands out the most to me because I often hear it in my dreams. I think the other voice is Michelle, but I can’t be too sure.

My hands grip the soft sheets under my fingertips, relishing in the comfort of them under me. It takes me a whole three seconds to realize I’m not under the tree in the backyard where I fell asleep, but instead lying in a soft bed that smells of sandalwood and jasmine.

What the hell happened?

“Alicia?” Adrian’s voice is soft as I hear his footsteps approach me.
