Capítulo 268: At the Gates of the City

Marcius looked around him as the ground was soaked in blood and the corpses of the troops of the Kerther clan lay in a mess. The heir of the Aemilia clan cleaned the blood from his sword as he prepared to leave. Their sword of his did not like when he did not clean the blood off it after the killing.

With a thought and a slight application of spirit energy, the sword was promptly stored back into the ring on his finger. Then, he flapped his wings and took flight.

It did not take very long for the heir of the Aemilia clan to arrive back at the flying vessel and meet with his parents.

"It is done," Marcius calmly reported. "It appears that the ambush was indeed a clumsy attempt by the clan of Kerther to stop our army and stall time for their defenses. But it is a certainty now that, those troops will no longer be an issue."
