Conrad lay in the bedroom and threw the smallish pink ball he was holding on the ceiling while he ignored the friends speaking about him in the background like he didn't have ears.

"How long has he been like that?" Jed asked.

"Too long if you ask me. It's like he's gone. All he does is stare at that empty space like he is doing right now. It's creeping me out. Do something…fix him" Julian said and look at Jed.

"What do you want me to do? I threw a rager to cheer him up but he is…even more miserable than he was when we dragged him out of his house kicking and screaming" Jed took a bite out of the sandwich he was holding and got some stains on his lips.

Julian stared at him.

"Dude, you have something on your…just stand still, I am going to…" Julian licked his thumb and tried to wipe the stains off Jed's face. 

Jed grabbed his hand.
