Capítulo 77: Contract
"What about me??" asked Chloe as she was confused.
"You said that you were looking for a job, and I think that you will be the great manager that I need to supervise my company since I cannot always be there" said Natasha.
"Oh, no no, no" said Chloe
"I truly am flattered that you considered me for the position, I truly am" said Chloe.
"But I am afraid that I cannot accept your offer, I just cannot" said Chloe.
"I do not have any experience managing a company whatsoever" said Chloe.
"And I am afraid that I will make a mess of things, and break your trust when I fail" said Chloe as she was being honest, she had no experience at all in a company setting, and not to even talk about being a manger, she knew that being a manager entailed literally carrying the business on her back, and she was not sure if she could do that.
Natasha smiled, she appreciated Chloe's honesty, she was truthful, and she laid down all her concerns and worry once, and most of all Natasha found it heart-warming that she did not want to let her down.
"I appreciate your honesty" said Natasha as she smiled.
"I truly do, and which is why I see no one better to manage my business, rather than you" said Natasha.
"You are honest, you are kind, and I have not seen it yet, but I am sure that you are hardworking too" said Natasha as she smiled and Chloe smiled.
"You do not have to belittle yourself at all, I am sure that with the right training and determination, you can be the best Manager that I need" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Are you really sure?" asked Chloe as she was uncertain.
"Yes I am, I have faith in you" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Besides we are friends, I consider you my friend, and I always help my friends" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Really??" asked Chloe
"Of course" said Natasha as she smiled.
"So what do you say??" asked Natasha.
"Alright" said Chloe as she smiled.
"I agree" said Chloe.
"Great" said Natasha as she smiled.
"I already drafted a contract earlier, it states your pay, your duties, and the times you work from" said Natasha as she pulled out an orange folder from one of the drawers in her desk and she handed it to Chloe as she went through it.
"Wow this is very detailed" said Chloe as she was very impressed, she did not know that Natasha was as capable as this.
"Yes it is" said Natasha as she smiled.
"But I have one concern" said Chloe as she read the contract carefully.
"State it now, so we will be able to make an adjustments right here right now" said Natasha.
"Alright then" said Chloe
"I am worried about my working hours, I cannot leave Ethan at home all alone" said Chloe as she looked concerned.
"I already considered that" said Natasha.
"Which is why, if you look at the contract on the working terms" said Natasha.
"I stated there that you can resume work at 9am and you can close at 4pm" said Natasha.
"Oh, I see, you really thought of everything didn't you" said Chloe as she was shocked, Natasha was really professional with this, she had even considered Ethan.
Chloe felt like she wanted to cry, but she would not, Natasha was really a true friend, she did not know someone who would have done what Natasha was doing for her right now, Chloe was really grateful for Natasha's friendship.
"Yes I did" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Oh Thank you Natasha, Thank you" said Chloe as she smiled.
"Genuinely from the bottom of my heart Thank you for all this" said Chloe as she was truly grateful, how many people would be as good as Natasha was?? Chloe did not want anything handed to her on a silver platter, and she wanted to work for her money, and this opportunity was really something great to her, for her to prove herself to everyone and especially her husband.
"There is no need to thank me, we are friends after all, and that is what friends do" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Oh if only most friends did half of what you did" said Chloe.
"It is very hard to find true friends" said Chloe.
"You are right about that" said Natasha, she too had had her fair share of so called friends abandoning her when she needed them the most.
"But regardless, I consider you my true friend, and I am sure that you would do the same for me if I needed help" said Natasha as she smiled, it was rare to find good people, and Chloe was one of those good people.
Natasha could be herself, not be on guard, and just relax with Chloe when she was around, not when she was with other people around her, she would always be on guard and make sure that she was safe.
"Oh thank you Natasha, I also feel the same" said Chloe as she smiled.
"Oh you must be annoyed with me by now, you tell me not to say Thank you, and yet I keep on doing so" said Chloe as she laughed.
"No, not at all" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Oh thank you Natasha, I will make sure not to let you down" said Chloe as she smiled.
"Of course, I trust that you will not" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Let me sign this thing already" said Chloe as she smiled.
"Don't you want to check through it at least three times??? To make sure everything is alright??" asked Natasha.
"No there is no need for that, I trust you, and I also trust that everything is in order" said Chloe as she rummaged through her handbag and she quickly found her pen and she signed her signature.
"Alright then" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Here" said Chloe as she handed the contract to Natasha.
"Thank you" said Natasha as she smiled and she put the contract back in her bag.
"So I think that we can go together to the farm, so you will know your duties and all" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Alright" said Chloe as she smiled.
"So will you be free early tomorrow morning at around 8am, so we can go to the farm together??" asked Natasha.
"Yes that will be fine, Ethan will still be sleeping at that time, and I will be able to return quickly before he wakes up" said Chloe.
"Great!" said Natasha as she smiled.
"And speaking of Ethan, where is he?? Is he here??" asked Natasha.
"Oh no, no, no, no" said Chloe as she laughed.
"I left him at home, he is grounded, he is still serving his punishment for that little stunt of his that he pulled" said Chloe as she laughed.
"Awww, but don't you think you are a bit harsh?" asked Natasha as she smiled.
"Oh no no" said Chloe as she laughed.
"I am raising Ethan up to be a fine young man, that does not mistreat women, and that is polite and fair" said Chloe.
"You will understand when you have a son that you want him to be the best man he can be, and not to settle for less" said Chloe.
"Haha I see" said Natasha as she laughed, have a son??? With Dom or anyone else for that matter??? No way not in this life, she was fine being Joy's mother and Joy's mother alone.
"Yes" said Chloe as she nodded her head.
"So are you staying for lunch??" asked Natasha.
"Ahh No no, thank you for your offer, but no" said Chloe
"I have to go home now and make sure that Ethan is serving his sentence well" said Chloe as she laughed.
"Sentence??? Is he a prisoner??" asked Natasha a she laughed.
"Well no, not really, but he will be deprived of sweets and cakes till further notice" said Chloe as she nodded.
"Oh haha" said Natasha as she laughed Chloe's parenting style was very… well unique, but who was she to judge??? Everyone was free to raise their child the best way they deemed fit.
"Well that is alright" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Just don't over do it" said Natasha.
"Oh trust me I won't his punishment ends today anyway" said Chloe as she laughed.
"But just don't tell him" said Chloe as she laughed.
"No of course not, I won't say anything" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Well I have to go now" said Chloe as she picked up her handbag and she stood up.
"I will see you early tomorrow morning" said Chloe as she smiled.
"Alright, see you" said Natasha.
"And tell Ethan I say hi" said Natasha as she laughed.
"Oh I will" said Chloe as she laughed and she walked out of Natasha's office.
"Goodbye Alfred" said Chloe as she saw Alfred on her way out.
"Goodbye Mrs. Thompson" said Alfred as he smiled.
