"You know what Nine, I am done with you, I am seriously done, you are ana absolute cheat, the worst kind" said Charlie as he looked annoyed.
"Oh is that so?" asked Nine as he did not looked fazed at all.
"Yes, yes it is, the truth, it is as clear as day" said Charlie as he nodded.
"Well then if that is the case, I cannot change the truth" said Nine leisurely.
"You are so barefaced" said Charlie
"You cannot even defend yourself, and you just admitted to cheating" said Charlie
"Well then if that is the case, why don't you and I fight then?" said Nine.
"So you can fight for your right, and beat the supposed cheater" said Nine.
"No, no, no, I will do no such thing" said Charlie.
"Are we barbarians that we would result to fighting to settle our matters?" asked Charlie.
"No, no we are not, we are dignified men and we should act like such" said Charlie.
"Mhmmm" said Nine as he did not buy Charlie's speech about being dignified men, he knew that Charlie was only scared of him beating him up like last time.
Between the two of them, it was clear who was the better fighting among them, and that was Nine.
"Tell me, you are not just scared of me beating you up are you?" asked Nine with a raised eyebrow.
"What no, noo" said Charlie.
"I am obviously more well-built than you are" said Charlie as he was admiring himself.
"And yet still with that you have never been able to beat me in a fight" said Nine.
"Well because I always go easy on you" said Charlie proudly.
"You are younger than me after all, and I have to be the bigger brother and don't like you get hurt" said Charlie
"Right…" said Nine as he knew that Charlie was just spewing nonsense out of his mouth right now, older my foot, he was just older then him by a single year, and yet here he was saying it as if their ages were not so close to each other.
"Well then being the responsible big brother you are, why don't you show me how powerful you really are, and let's spar with no restraints" said Nine.
"Oh, what a good idea" said Charlie.
"Although we cannot do that right now, I have just eaten lunch, and I would like it keep it down in my stomach where it belongs" said Charlie as he was the master of making excuses, there was no way that he was going to spar with Nine with no restrains, it would be terrible, he would end up beating him up seriously.
Among their friend group Nine was the best fighter, and there was only one other person who could beat him.
"Charlie your excuses keep on getting worse and worse" said Nine as he scoffed, he knew that this big wimp was never going to do that, he was just well-built for nothing, he just looked tall and huge while he was a coward on the inside.
"And you keep on getting less fun and less fun" said Charlie.
"In fact, I do not even know why I am hanging out with you, you are so not fun" said Charlie.
"I would have hung out with one the boys, but they are busy with training" said Charlie
Charlie and Nine were in the bodyguard quarters, they were the only ones who were in the area that they were in.
"I also have better things to do than to spend time wasting with you" said Nine as he sighed.
"Hey Guys" came the voice of a familiar woman that made both Nine and Charlie turn to look at her.
"Lia???" asked both Nine and Charlie in shock as they could not believe the voice of the woman they were hearing.
"Hi Charlie" said Lia as she walked towards Charlie and she gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Hey Nine" she said as she smiled at Nine and she gave him a kiss on the cheek too.
The two men were still totally quiet in shock, they thought that maybe both of them were dreaming, and that Lia was not actually here.
"What's with you two??" asked Lia as she laughed.
"Lia you are here??" asked Charlie in disbelief as he finally opened his mouth to speak.
"Of course I am silly" said Lia as she laughed, these two were acting like clowns, it seems that Nine had been spending too much time with Charlie, because he also looked shocked.
"Where's Michael??" asked Lia as she looked around.
"I did not see him on my way here" she said.
"Michael went on a special mission" said Nine as he finally spoke and cleared his throat.
"Oh I see" said Lia
"Does Dom know that you are back?" asked Nine as he did not want to ask that but it just slipped out.
"What kind of question is that, of course he knows" whispered Nine to himself.
"Yes, yes he does" said Lia.
"I went to his office when I returned and he had lunch together" said Lia as she smiled.
"Ah, I see" said Nine as he was scolding himself internally, he was stupid for asking such a question.
"So how are you guys??" asked Lia as she smiled.
"I am doing very well as always" said Charlie as he smiled proudly.
"Of course you are Charlie, I trust you" said Lia as she laughed.
"And you Nine?" asked Lia as she turned to look at Nine.
"Good" replied Nine, there was nothing more and nothing less.
"Haha" said Lia, she was used to Nine's one word answers.
"So what were you both arguing about before I came?" asked Lia suspiciously.
"Nothing" said Charlie and Nine was quiet.
"I don't believe you" said Lia.
"Fine, we were arguing on how Nine is a cheat, because I am sure that he cheated when we were playing cards" said Charlie.
"Wait, wait, you two were arguing on a stupid card game?" asked Lia
"It's not stupid Lia" said Charlie as Lia started to laugh.
"You both are not serious" she said as she laughed.
"You are wrong Lia, that game was very serious" said Charlie.
"It seems that with both Dom and Michael busy, you both have nothing better to do" said Lia as she laughed.
"Mhmm Lia, Mhmm, I will let you off this time because you just got back" said Charlie.
"But next time, you will see, we will just have to play cards together" said Charlie as he smiled.
"Oh in your dreams Charlie, there is no way that I would play cards with you guys" said Lia as she laughed.
"Oh we'll see" said Charlie.
"No we won't because there is nothing to see" said Lia as she sighed, she seemed to have forgotten just how annoying Charlie could be, she looked to her side and she saw Nine who was quiet, and he just appeared to be watching them without saying a single world.
…
"Nat are you sure that you are okay?" asked Pete for the hundredth time as he pulled up in front of Natasha's house.
"Pete you have asked me that question so many times" said Natasha as she sighed.
"And I have told you that I am perfectly okay" said Natasha as the ringing in her ears had totally stopped and she was better now.
"You say that but I do not believe you" said Pete.
"Well not with the way you fell to the ground and you dropped the gun" he said.
"We were both just lucky that I loaded the gun with only one bullet" said Pete.
"I understand Pete, but I was just startled that's all, I just did not expect the gunshot to be so loud" said Natasha.
"Nat.." said Pete
"Pete" said Natasha as she turned to look at Pete.
"You worry too much" she said as she laughed.
"I am perfectly fine" she said.
"That was just one mistake, It will not happen again" she said as she reassured me.
"So believe me okay" she said
"Fine, I believe you, but next time…" he said.
"But nothing, next time will be better, I promise you" she said as she smiled.
"Alright if you say so" said Pete as he sighed.
"And I do say so" said Natasha as she laughed.
"Do you want to come in with me?" asked Natasha as she looked out the window.
"No I cannot right now, I need to go to the station, maybe next time" said Pete as he did not want to see that man today so he made up an excuse.
"Oh well alright then, See you later Pete" said Natasha as she smiled.
"See you Nat" he said as he smiled back at her as she opened the door and she waved him goodbye as she walked to her house.
The smile on Pete's face dropped once he could no longer see Natasha as she had walked past the wall.
"I worry because I care for you" he said as he sighed and he started his car and drove away.
