Capítulo 22: I beg you
"Excuse me" called Natasha as she turned around to face the maid.
"What??" asked the maid as she turned around to face Natasha rather rudely, even the tone that she used to answer Natasha in was extremely rude and harsh.
"Is that how you answer someone?" asked Natasha as she narrowed her eyes at the maid.
"Well last time I checked you were nobody" replied the maid to herself as she rolled her eyes.
"Did you not hear me?" asked Natasha as she did not hear a reply from the maid.
"I asked you a question, is that how you answer someone" said Natasha.
"Even the way you set down my tea on the table, that was quite rude of you" said Natasha, she was quite surprised, she was sure that this maid was not alright, she now knew that the saying wonders shall never cease was truly true.
"That is not how you serve somebody" she said.
"Last time I checked I do not have to answer to everyone, and especially a woman like you" replied the maid as she finally opened her mouth to speak.
"You and I are not alike, and I do not have to answer to you at all" said the maid very rudely, she had absolutely no shame at all.
"Oh is that so?" asked Natasha as she was truly surprised, what would she never not see in this world, this little girl who looked like she was only a few years younger than her was out rightly insulting her.
"Yes, it is" replied the maid with confidence, as if her place could never be taken from her.
"I think that you seem to have forgotten who you are talking to" said Natasha.
"I am Natasha White, your Madam, the lady of this house" said Natasha as she thought that maybe his girl had hit her head, what sort of disrespect was this??
"Ha, and you seem to forget that you are only a 'Madam' In name" said the maid as she put air quotes when she said the word Madam.
"Everyone hates you here, even the Master himself despises the mere thought of you, so why would I give you the respect that you do not even deserve" said the maid.
"I would never bow myself down to stoop so low as to reverence someone who's status is even beneath me in this house" said the maid as she continued.
"You are nothing, your level is even lower than one of a maid like me" she said.
"You think that you are above, because you sleep in big rooms, you eat delicious food, and you go wherever you want, and you are still living large" said the maid.
"But the truth is that just because the Master is still obliged to continue to take care of you because you are the mother of his child does not mean anything, you are still the lowest of the lowest" said the maid, she had really gone down this time.
"You know what" said Natasha.
"You are right" she said as she smiled at the maid who had clearly over jumped her boundaries.
"What??? is this woman crazy??" asked the maid to herself, she was getting scared, but she did not show it at all, not only did she just finish insulting Natasha terribly, but now Natasha was even smiling at her and telling her that she was right.
"Yes Of course I am" said the maid as she did not back down at all, she folded her hands across her chest and she even looked like her time was being wasted by being here.
"Tell me" said Natasha.
"What is your name?" she asked with a smile.
"Lexi" replied the maid rudely as she eyed Natasha as if she was her boss.
"Oh well alright then Lexi" said Natasha.
"You are fired" she said with a smile.
"You must be joking" said Lexi as she scoffed.
"No I am not Lexi dear, you are fired" said Natasha as she smiled.
"You cannot fire me!!" said Lexi
"Well technically I can, seeing as you said that I am the Madam in name, but I am still the Madam" said Natasha.
"What??? You cannot do that, you do not have the power to fire me, you cannot!!!" said Lexi as she shouted.
"Watch me" replied Natasha as the smiled on her face disappeared like it was never there in the first place.
Natasha picked up her phone, and she dialed a number.
"Hello Alfred" she said as her call was picked up.
"Are you almost back?" asked Natasha.
"Well yes Madam, is there something you need?" asked Alfred from the other side of the line.
"Yes Alfred, yes I do" she said.
"When you get back to the house, please come here, I need you to do something for me" she said as she looked at Lexi who looked like she was being wronged.
"Okay Madam, I will be right there" said Alfred.
"Thank you Alfred" said Natasha as she cut the call.
"I think that you need to go and start packing your bags, because you no longer work here dear" said Natasha as she smiled.
"No, No you cannot do that!!" said Lexi as she was angry.
"Are you still going on about this dear?" asked Natasha.
"You no longer work here" she said as she smiled.
"No no, you cannot do this to me, you cannot do this" said Lexi as she was fuming in anger, tears started dropping from her eyes, she could not believe that she was getting fired by this woman.
"Oh dear, I already did" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Goodbye" said Natasha as she smiled and waved and turned back to face the window.
"No no, please, please, don't fire me" said Lexi as all her pride from before vanished, she rushed to Natasha's seat and she knelt down before her.
Lexi could not believe that she was now begging the woman who did not deserve to be begged at all, but she could not loose this job, not only did it pay very well, but she also got to live in a beautiful place, she ate three times a day and there were just so many more privileges that she was not ready to lose.
"Please, please, I cannot loose this Job, I have a family to support, I have younger siblings, I am the only one working in my family, my parents are old and are unable to work, please I need this Job" said Lexi as she begged and she cried.
"Well you should have thought of that before you started running your mouth" said Natasha as she did not care at all for Lexi's tears.
Lexi felt a shiver down her spine, the Madam looked very scary right now, her face was as cold as the night, and it was clear that she had no sympathy for her at all.
Natasha was not going to let anyone trample on her again, she already had enough of that in her last life, but not in this one, not never, not again.
"No no please Madam I beg you, I beg you" said Lexi as her crying intensified as she rolled on the ground, if you had seen the way she felt so high a few minutes ago you would never have thought that she was the same person right now.
"Now you know what to call me" said Natasha as she scoffed.
"Please Madam, please I am sorry, I did not mean it at all, please don't fire me" said Lexi as her eyes were filled of tears and they did not look like they were stopping anytime soon.
"Please, please, I have younger siblings that need me, please I cannot be jobless" she said as she cried.
Natasha looked down at Lexi, she scoffed internally, it was easy for people to change their story once something very valuable to them was about to be taken away.
"Please, please" said Lexi as she cried.
"Fine, alright then" said Natasha, and Lexi looked relieved, she wiped off the tears from her eyes as she sniffed.
"You can keep your job" said Natasha.
"Oh Thank you Madam, thank you, Thank you" said Lexi as she smiled in relief and she got off the ground.
"But-" added Natasha, which made Lexi stand still.
"For running your mouth like a tap with no valve, you will work unpaid for the next three months" said Natasha as the levity of what she said dawned on Lexi.
Natasha snickered, did Lexi really think that she would be let off that easily, no, she had to pay for the horrible words she had said.
"Please Madam, No, No" said Lexi.
"I am sorry but you have to choose one, either be jobless, or have a Job, it's your choice" said Natasha.
Lexi thought about it, she really had no other choice.
"I will choose the Job Madam" said Lexi as more tears dropped from her eyes.
"That was a wise choice" said Natasha.
"Now get out of my site" she said coldly as Lexi ran away crying bitterly.
Foolish girl thought so highly of herself, she really thought that she was untouchable, that was what Natasha thought to herself as she sipped her now cold tea.
"Mommy, why is that lady crying??" asked Joy as she and Alfred happened to pass by Lexi who opened the door to leave, with her eyes full of tears.
"Ooooh my baby" said Natasha as she put her cup of tea down and the cold look on her face was immediately replaced with a bright smile, she opened her arms wide for Joy to come hug her.
"Mommy why is that lady crying?" asked Joy again, she was very curious.
"Well my baby, she is crying because unlike you, she has been a very bad girl" said Natasha as she ticked Joy and Joy laughed.
"Haha Mommy" said Joy as she laughed.
