"Don't you think we should have found a way to tell your father we were coming?" Rowan stared up at the white marble exterior of Yamm's palace as he and Wren climbed the seemingly endless stairs toward the entrance. 

They were completely alone without a single living being in sight, nothing but smooth stone and emptiness to greet them. He supposed Death didn't get many willing visitors.

The last time Rowan was in the Realm of Disorder, he'd been suspended between life and death with his physical body back at home in his bed. This time, he brought his actual body with him and was thankfully not full of poison.

It felt surprisingly natural to him when Wren parted the Shadows in a different way than usual and deposited them here, almost like returning to a second home. The pure Disorder buzzed against Rowan's skin, not exactly comfortable, but not uncomfortable either.
