Capítulo 30: JANE UNDERSTANDS WHAT CELINE FEEL

Never thought before about what someone who was in front of him had just said that made David at this time immediately turn his head towards the room where his brother was.

"I knew you'd be surprised like this," Jane said smiling. "What you said was true, she was just afraid all the attention you gave her would disappear because of me."

"I'll talk to her." David who heard it immediately shook his head with both hands currently on the girl's shoulders. "Either way Celine must apologize to you."

"David..."

"Jane, listen to me, if Celine is allowed to act like that it's tantamount to letting the girl slowly hate you."

"But I don't care, if it's like that, then I have to fight for your sister."

David's gaze at this moment was so deep that Jane who saw it immediately sighed for a moment before finally one of them spoke.

"Why are you like this to me, Jane?" asked the man with teary eyes.

"What? What have I done to you?" Jane's brow furrowed after hearing what her best friend had just said.

"Why Jane?" David whispered then lowered his head with his eyes closed.

This made Jane a little emotional because she hated this kind of atmosphere. She was also confused by the attitude of a man who was in front of her at this time because of her words.

Until finally Jane shook David's shoulder, who now looked more lethargic than before.

"DAVID!" she called with suppressed emotion. "QUICK TELL ME WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!"

David just kept quiet, which made Jane annoyed.

There was even a sudden silence because there was no more talking between David and Jane. They seemed to be silent with each other's thoughts.

A few moments later David looked up at a woman who was still loyal to him, making the man who knew it immediately sighed.

"Do you know why I fell in love with you?" the man asked with a smile. "Do you know what made me fall in love with you?"

"What? I just did what I had to do, David. There's nothing special about me, and I did it anyway because Celine is your sister."

For a moment David was silent contemplating what he had just heard, so now the man sighed for a moment before finally speaking again.

"First I want to thank you, Jane. Because you care about her so much, but to me, there's nothing to justify if it's wrong, it will still be wrong. If it's true, then I will correct it no matter what."

Then he smiled at the woman in front of him before turning his face the other way.

"So you shouldn't be like this. I don't understand why you defend her so much when it's clear that Celine is guilty of being rude to you. She should respect you not because you're my best friend, but because you're older than her, Jane."

The woman was touched by what someone in front of her had just said, so now Jane was smiling, even though her eyes were already filled with tears as if she was ready to shed tears.

"I know what you mean, David. But you can't just push it that easy, you have to understand it too."

"What am I supposed to understand? I certainly understand her very well, Jane." The man looked at her smugly. "Because she is my sister."

Jane who heard it immediately shook her head.

"No, you don't understand her at all, David. You've been living apart from Celine for years, so how could you know and understand her feelings."

David was again made pensive just by the words that had just been uttered by someone who was in front of him at this time, making him who knew about it immediately sighed.

"I don't understand, Jane. What exactly are you trying to tell me? What don't I understand about her? What?"

"You need to know, David. I say this because I understand your own sister's feelings, I understand the meaning of the attitude that Celine showed to me. Can't you see the hidden sadness in that girl?"

Of course hearing, this made David frown immediately after hearing what his best friend had just said. Then the man once again turned his face towards where Celine was lying in the room before finally looking back at Jane who was still looking at him with a smile.

"Sadness?" asked David with raised eyebrows. "What sadness is she harboring? But I don't see her sad at all in Celine."

What David said made Jane immediately chuckle while shaking her head before finally smiling with her gaze that had never left the sight of the person in front of her right now.

In contrast to the man who just now looks confused with someone who is in front of him at this time. Jane was seen laughing which made David frown not understanding what had happened to the woman.

"Hey, why are you even laughing?"

"You look very funny, David. Maybe it's true that you are a woman's ideal man and also someone responsible for your family and the people you care about. But I still see the flaws in you."

"Is that true?" David still survives with that frown on his forehead. The man is still looking for the meaning and location of the mistake that has just been said by someone who is in front of him at this time. "A David Ryan still has flaws? No way. I'm a man without flaws, Jane."

Because it made Jane smile wryly with her eyes rolling lazily. While David is still with his confident and does not accept what his friend said.

Until suddenly David thought of something that made the man immediately look back at Jane who was still with him at this time.

"But Jane," the man paused, his gaze so serious. "How do you know all that? Why are you so sure of what you said, huh?"

Hearing this, Jane immediately fell silent, unable to move. There was no way she could tell the truth because she was just like Celine who had pent-up sadness.

Finally, she found a way by trying to get David not to continue this conversation anymore so that she now felt intimidated by the man's gaze.

"Didn't you notice, David?" Jane asked, shaking her head as if in pity for the man.

"No, quickly tell me so I know!" said David.

"I can see the sadness in her eyes," Jane replied. "There is so much deep sadness that Celine, your sister goes through. But she doesn't seem to want you to know or maybe she isn't ready to tell you yet."
