"Yes, I'm back, so are you allowed to come here? How did you get here?"

I was taken aback and became dumbfounded. I feel a very cold breeze towards me that makes me froze from where I'm sitting. I feel so guilty.

He was silent for a while. I know he is mad and is just controlling himself. It was obvious in his tone when he speaks that he is disappointed in me. I know he was surprised that I did not follow what he had told me. I feel guilty about doing that.

I fiddled the script in front of the seat.

"Are you interested in this movie?"

There were many people around him; it was loud, his voice was low and soft, and as he spoke, the hot air blew gently against my ears.

I felt an itch in my ear, my back unconsciously stiffened downward, and I pretended to smile naturally.

"It's pretty good. Once the baby will be here soon; people will recognize you as Haden's wife. I was too surprised to say anything." Honestly, that statement frightened me.

Before the conference began, Haden waved to his assistant, who hurriedly came over and bowed and wait for his instructions.

The assistant stood by my side, hands crossed in front. Then Haden went on the platforms, meet the reporters, and discussed something. I saw the reporters nodded their heads one by one.

As I looked at him from afar, I asked myself, is marrying Haden a good decision? Did I make the mistake of marrying him for the sake of our baby? I love him, and I married him because of love. Is that also Haden’s reason for marrying me?

I want to ask him, but I'm afraid that his answer is not what I want to hear. I want to know the truth, even if it will hurt me.

What could he say to them? I was so afraid that Haden would reveal my identity to the public; I don't want to show it because I know that would bring more trouble. We know that once you are famous in the entertainment industry, you should grab and enjoy the most of it. You have to take care of your image very much. Because once you are involved in a scandal or an issue, it will significantly impact the acting career, and you will lose all the fans and become no one at the end. I don't want it to happen to Haden. So, I want his private life to be kept as much as possible and not to affect my pregnancy and the baby.

But fortunately, Haden was wise enough to keep me as a secret, and I appreciate it. I'm not ready right now to recognize as Haden's wife. I know it will be the talk of the town.

During the free talk session, Sam suddenly came to me and greeted me.

"Elena, I haven't seen you for a long time, how are you doing? Are you married? Are you here for the actor selection too?" I suddenly felt that my face blushed, but I did not make it obvious that Haden would see it. I suddenly remember when we were in high school, and we met in the hallway; he always smiled at me and asked if I'm doing good. I wanted to talk more with Sam because we haven't seen each other since our school days. But Haden turned his eyes on us.

"No, I'm just a guest here." I replied.

"Alright! how come I haven't seen you? I'm the main actor in this drama, I can talk to the director, and introduced you to him maybe there's a chance," Sam said and held out his hand to me, "Wow, that is awesome but I'm just here as a guest." I replied awkwardly.

Haden quickly stood in my front and asked,

"Why haven't you left yet? What are you doing?" Haden walked over. The atmosphere around suddenly became different, the original lively chatter of the crowd suddenly froze, and the group of people's eyes fell on him, and he looked furious.

I replied calmly, "I just ran into an old school friend, this is Sam, we went to the same school before. We just greeted each other. That's all." Haden swept a glance at Sam; a feeling of chill wind shocked everyone around us. You can see on their faces that they are curious about what is happening.

Sam asked curiously, "Elena, what is your relationship with Haden? Are you close with each other? I didn’t hear about you for a very long time so I don’t know much about how you’re doing."

I didn't know what to say. It takes a while before I replied to him, I didn’t want them to know that I was married to Haden. That will ruin his career and will affect his image, especially his business. I don't want him to suffer just because of me. It will destroy everything he worked for so many years, and I don't want that to happen.

"He's my friend's brother." I replied with hesitation.

"Which friend?" Sam didn't stop asking questions. I want to leave at that moment. I don't want to say something that might hurt Haden. I want to stop answering questions. I want to zip my mouth and not talk anymore.

"Well, I don't know, don't ask me." After saying that, my body felt a little weak that I want to faint and forget everything. I unconsciously looked at Haden, whose expression looked natural, but I felt coldness suddenly surround him that made me shiver.

"Are you done talking? We have to go." Haden spoke suddenly.

Sam didn't ask any more questions and turned to leave.

Suddenly Sam took a call, "What? Why is the change of male lead so sudden? What is happening?" I glanced at Haden and knew it was his decision.

The driver took and drove the car, then Haden walked to the car and said to me, "Get in."

I immediately got in the car before he gets really mad.

My mood in the car was not very good, and I could feel the anger radiating from him. "So, I'm just your friend's brother? That's what I am to you huh? How could you say that? Did you not care what will I feel? "

I ducked my head and didn't dare to reply to him. I feel so guilty and embarrassed. I should not say it, but I have no choice at that moment. We should keep our relationship a secret.

The corners of Haden's mouth suddenly twisted into a smile, but there was no smile in his eyes, "Are you shy to acknowledge me as your husband? Am I not that attractive to you?"

My heart pounded; I turned his head to look at me and met his deep gaze, eyes like an intruder, straight into the heart of people. I was indeed quite vain, I hastily explained,

"No, no, I don't want the media gossiping and asking questions about my personal affairs, that's why I said that. You know I have no choice but to say it. I know you understand, right?"

Haden tugged unconsciously at his tie. I hung my head; the car stopped at the curb, and we went home. We just ate quickly and went to sleep.

The next day comes, Haden and I ate dinner as usual, and I was about to go upstairs when Haden suddenly said, “Wait a minute don't go, I have something to tell you." I leaned back in my chair again. Haden wiped his mouth with a napkin, and he put his hands on the table, he was sitting formally in posture, and I unconsciously tensed.

"I have to go on a business trip tomorrow, and it will probably be a long one, I haven't finished my overseas business yet, and I'm only coming back temporarily for the start of the new movie."

I was relieved that he was going on a business trip, but it was good for them.

Something will probably happen after that, but whatever happens, I'll take care of it. Don't worry; you must take care of our baby, eat nutritious foods, and forget to take your vitamins. Always sleep early, Ok? Take Berry with you when you go out. I will call every day to check on you. Call me if there is a problem."

"You have to remember that no matter what happens, I'll take care of it. I will protect our family, especially that we have a baby."

He probably wasn't comfortable telling me, so I didn't ask any more questions, nodded meekly. He went on a business trip for over a month, during which he occasionally called, nothing more than those polite words of concern. Still, Berry called regularly to report him on my situation. I experienced sudden changes in my body. I feel dizzy sometimes and did want to get up from bed. I wish Haden were here with me.
