Elena's POV
Haden's tongue was so soft and flexible. I feel his breath makes me more excited. My inner and hidden dark side was taking over for a moment.
I hold his soft face and gently push it towards me, but he suddenly shrugged it off. He put on my bras, tied my clothes, and stood up.
"The wind is picking up outside, go inside, you might catch a cold."
I hold my breath, take in some air, and felt soberer.
"I have surprise gift for you, hope you will like it." Haden asked.
I was shocked and did not expect that moment; he brought a small box wrapped with a red ribbon. "Open it." He spoke.
I unwrapped the small box; a beautifully crafted bracelet was inside. I don't know what to think. I don't want to assume something just because I received something special. Maybe Haden does this to all his past lovers. "Hold out your hand." He said to me. I put my hand out, and Haden put the bracelet on me. It was so beautiful.
His fingers brushed my skin unconsciously, just as hot as they had just touched my stomach. His touch, It reminds me of the moment when we make love. He looked at it with his hands in his pockets, and then he whispered, "It suits you."
"Thank you, but why did you give me this gift? You don't have to do this. Being with you is enough for me." I spoke.
"Don't talk non sense, you are my wife now, no matter what, you will always be the mother of my child, we will become a family now and it's right that I gave you special gifts from now on."
Then he asked me, “When is your maternity checkup? It is tomorrow, right? I will cancel all my meetings for tomorrow, I will accompany you to your maternity checkup." He makes time to accompany me even on his busy schedules.
He escorted me to our room, and I fell into a blissful sleep.
The next day we went to the maternity checkup together. The doctor said that the baby is very healthy. The embryo was well developed and had already taken shape. I had to take some vitamins and have to eat vegetables and fruits for the baby's welfare.
After the checkup, we ate, then we went home. Haden had some phone calls, takes his things then went out for work.
I was bored with staying at home and wanted to go out, but I have to stay at home every day to nurture my baby, although still in my belly.
Then suddenly the phone rings, it was Sara. That call made me excited a bit.
"Hi, Elena, how are you? how are your days with Haden?" She asked.
"Well, I'm good, but I'm so bored. I don't know what to do here. I want to go out but Haden didn't allow me to." "You won't be getting bored any more, there is film festival tomorrow, Let's go together and hang out with me!" Tomorrow is the day of the film festival. It is a yearly event that our family usually attends. Politicians and personalities are always present in that event. There are many reporters and media. I was more than impatient to go, but I had to handle Beverly first because Haden doesn’t allow me to go out alone.
I told Beverly that I wanted to buy something outside, and she insisted on going with me. But I threatened her that I would fire her if she didn't listen to what I said. I promised to go back before Haden got home. Beverly had no choice but to obey me.
I wore some makeup with a pair of dangling earrings. I wore a silky dress that makes my figure even more visible. I felt more radiant and confident again. I haven't done this for a long time since Haden, and I lived together.
I stayed in the mansion for a long time, doing nothing. Every day is the same routine. In the morning, Haden and I will eat breakfast together; then, he will prepare to go to work. Then I will be alone. I will watch tv series then make some phone calls with friends. But now, I finally found myself something to do.
When I arrived at the venue, I met Sara and greeted her; then, I saw group of reporters surrounding a man. It was Sam, our former schoolmate, the very handsome actor who had become famous overnight for his role in a movie that became blockbuster. We rarely met at school at that time. I remember he was very famous in the university. Many girls are always waiting for him in the hallway of the building. He's tall, dark, and handsome; you will know that his skin is so soft just by looking at it. Just a smile from him makes the girls go crazy. But honestly, he was my crush in my school days. For me, he is the ideal and most gentleman. For instance, we bumped at each other at the entrance gate, it was so crowded, and many students are waiting to open the gate. He said sorry to me and let me go in first. After that incident, every time we met at the school grounds, he always smiled at me. I always looked forward to meeting him again if there is a chance. But now that he is one of the famous actors in the country, that wish will not come.
At the entrance, two security guards were standing in front, followed by long lines of people. They are all dressed up with heavy makeup—the ambiance of surrounded by classy personalities. As I followed the crowd, I walked towards Sam, trying to greet him that maybe he will recognize me; I wish; he is still the handsome kind guy I know back in our school days as if he is not getting older. His skin is the same, and his face is so fresh and very positive. I happened to see a familiar figure, which frightened and froze me.
It was Haden. I didn't know that he will be attending. What if he will catch me here? I don't want to cause a scene here.
Involuntarily, I retraced my steps, trying to find a way back. But it's too late. Haden's stern gaze fell on me, and I don't know what to do. Instead, he took his step towards me. I felt cold inside me. What will I say to him?
"Look, that's Haden." I yelled out. All reporters immediately turned their attention from Sam to him. I pretended not to know him and turned back, trying to figure out my way home.
I looked back and was relieved to see that the reporters surrounded Haden. I remember his stare at me when he saw me. I got scared, and I wish that I will be invisible at that moment. I know my mistake, and I will accept if he will scold me.
Sara looked confused and asked, "What's going on with you guys? Did you fight?"
“He is working; it's not good if I bother him, right?" I said.
"What are you talking about? You're his wife. There is nothing wrong with that."
"I'm afraid people will find out that I'm his wife. They will create stories and make issues, especially when they find out that I'm pregnant with Haden's baby. It will significantly affect his image and the business. Besides, if Haden finds out I come here by myself, I am screwed; I don't know what to tell him. I have to go home now." I turned around when suddenly someone grabbed me by the shoulder and asked,
"Are you Mrs. Haden? Mr. Haden asked me to take you somewhere. You have to go with me." I turned around and looked confused, staring at the man in front of me; I have met him once; he is Haden's assistant. "Where?" I told him.
"You're coming with me, that is the instructions of Mr. Haden and later you will know." I didn't know what Haden wanted me to do, so I just followed his assistant. Along the way, I'm confused until I saw a platform that turned out to be the official venue for the release conference of start screening of the new movie. I don't know what to think. I feel embarrassed that I made a secret to him in coming here. I know that he is doing that for the sake of our baby. What I'm thinking all along? Haden is just concern about me, but I disobey him. What will he think about me?
The assistant led me to the front seats, where Haden was sitting in the middle of the front row, and the seat next to him was still empty.
The assistant seated me next to Haden then I greeted him, "Haden, you're back from your business trip?"
