Capítulo 482: Open, Honest, Vulnerable

Ashleigh took a deep breath and smiled at Caleb.

“You’re right,” she nodded. “I didn’t even think about that, and yes, you are absolutely right. You should be there.”

Caleb grinned.

“I really thought I was going to have to fight you harder on that,” he laughed.

Ashleigh joined him in the laughter.

“Honestly, before you mentioned Cain, I had my heels ready to dig in,” she smiled.

“I figured,” he chuckled.

Ashleigh took a deep breath.

“But, that was wrong of me too,” she said softly.

Caleb looked up at her with furrowed brows. She gave him a gentle smile that told him she was opening up to him.

“I need to remember,” Ashleigh continued. “That I’m not alone anymore. I don’t have to do it all by myself. There is always someone standing beside me, ready to support me and behind me, ready to catch me.”

She moved closer to him, reaching out and putting her hands on his chest as she smiled into his eyes.
