Capítulo 97: Chapter XCVII - Surviving until Sunrise

Ishani, Mete, and Rahl fired off their spells, sending the Gryphon into the ground. Marcus turned to look at the trio and gave a thumbs-up as the rest charged the injured beast.

The trio ran toward Lisa as they took their positions. Marcus called his swords to his side as he rushed in behind everyone else.

The Gryphon struggled as it rose from the ground; embers were still lit as tufts of fur and feathers burned, leaving charred blotches across its body. It surveyed the area stomping its front talons and unleashing a blood-curdling screech.

Mawu reached into his quiver, grabbed two arrows, and notched them against his bow. As the Gryphon beat its wings, he unleashed both arrows as they soared through the air, piercing into the powerful muscles of its wings.

Hui swung his long blade horizontally, slashing a deep gash into the foreleg of the Gryphon, causing it to stumble backward and swipe its other talons out in retaliation.
