For the next three days, Nie Li except for classes and food, only cultivated. The only distraction from this routine was another study group meeting where he continued to teach his friends the ancient languages. And learning the languages manually actually helped them to absorb the knowledge in the crystal faster. So it was not a useless effort.

Another good news was he got his share of money from the auctioned treasures the Expedition brought. He got 27 million demon spirit coins. It was a bit more than Ye Ziyun and Xiao Ning'er got. They received 20 million each. Chen Linjian must have raised his share for his merit during the expedition.
Also, the girls put up for an auction a large amount of silver rank equipment, each getting an additional 40 million. Girls put up everything in Ye Ziyun's name because Xiao Ning'er didn't want her family to learn about it, because they had already claimed her 20 million from the expedition. When Nie Li heard about that he was angry. He wanted to teach those elders from her family a painful lesson, but it was impossible currently.

He approached the receptionist and asked for a meeting with the director.
"What's your purpose for the meeting? Maybe I can help," the receptionist girl said. Even though she was polite, her eyes said what she really thought about the kids taking her time with some silly requests.
"Thank you. I wanted to order a hundred Soul Assembling Pills and a hundred Spiritual Enhancing Pills. And if we could come to some agreement I wish to make some long-term contract with Alchemy Association."
"Oh," she said surprised. Those two pills were among the most expensive elixirs that Alchemy Association provided. And what Nie Li was ordering was worth more than a million. And long-term contracts were above her pay grade. But could this boy really pay that amount of money? Although he did look like a rich kid, she couldn't make such a judgment only from his looks.
"Are you wondering if I can afford it or not?" Nie Li asked.
"Of course not," she denied quickly. "I'll call the manager to personally deal with your issue."
The manager, a middle-aged man, after confirming his ability to pay, offered his services to officiate the contract himself, but Nie Li was adamant to meet the director. In the end, the manager relented. Even though a million demon spirit coins wasn't a big deal for Alchemy Association, a long-term contract may be worth the director's time.

Nie Li sighed sitting in the antechamber of the Yang Xin's office. He was waiting to be invited into her room. So much trouble for a simple meeting. But this was the simplest and fastest way to meet with her. His other ideas, like taking an alchemy exam he discarded as too childish. But it would have been more exciting. Much better than waiting in an anteroom for more than 20 minutes straight.
He knew that it was a power play by Yang Xin. She is showing him that he is not that important. That she is too busy and will meet him when she is finished with other more important matters. It could have also improved her negotiating positions. But not with Nie Li. He didn't care much about the pills deal. He was here for completely another matter.
After another 10 minutes, Nie Li was invited into Yang Xin's room.
"Director Yang Xin thank you for agreeing to meet me." Nie Li said politely admiring the view. However annoyed he may be, he had to admit the director was beautiful.
"There's no need for that young man," she also replied professionally. "Now, you wanted to discuss a long-term agreement to purchase some pills from our Association?"
She was direct and serious. There was none of that playful personality that was described in the novel. It must be how she acted normally. In the novel, she had a deep admiration and later even stronger feelings towards his counterpart. Right now she didn't even know him. Will she develop feelings towards him as well? This was another can of worms he didn't want to open right now. Unlike Xiao Ning'er and Ye Ziyun, he didn't have any feelings towards her in his previous life.
"Yes. But that was not the main reason I wanted to meet you." Nie Li decided to be direct as well.
"Oh," she said frowning. "Then what's the reason?"
"I want to sell some Purple Haze Grass to the Association".
"Purple Haze Grass," she said sitting up a bit straight. "How much of it?"
She hoped that he had a decent amount of the grass because it was getting annoying to find even a kilogram of it on the market.
"220 tonnes," he said making her gape at him.
"Oh, that's a large amount of Purple Haze Grass for sure," she said still a bit dumbfounded.
"Yes and I'm offering it all for a price of 100 million." It was almost three times cheaper than in the market. And the prices were still rising. But he couldn't sell all of that in bulk for that price. "Also, I want to keep the transaction confidential."
Yang Xin couldn't believe it. They have been looking for the person, who bought out the most of the Purple Haze Grass and the possible author of those letters, everywhere. And now he came to them himself.
"That's a substantial amount even for our Association," she said after some pause, "I cannot make such a big decision by myself. I have to contact the president."
"I understand. But I hope you'll convey my desire for anonymity to president Gu Yan as well." Nie Li said. He knew that they would keep his secret anyway. And because of the turbulent political situation in the association, it would be counterproductive if their opponents learned about him.
"I will. Nie Li, wasn't it? Wait here for a moment. I'll call the president," she said and left leaving him alone in her room.
It looks like Gu Yan had given her specific orders in case they found him. He would have been worried if it was someone else, but both Gu Yan and Yang Xin were very loyal to Glory City and they have proven themselves in his previous life and in the novel.
