"Little hands clasping…
Truth they are grasping
A world with no pain for one and all"
Azuma first gained consciousness of the nostalgic melody of a past he no longer remembered. It was a children's song that he loved to listen to, and sometimes Shiro would sing it for him or they would sing together.
Only a while had passed since they met, and some of his broken memories were already piecing together.
"And they are learning
Their souls, they are yearning
A nice place to play and no place to fall"
As Azuma lay in that black space with no light but his, he wondered how a human could become so precious to someone?
Why exactly was he drawn to Shiro so… much?
He had long ago forgotten the remaining emotions of his heart. Azuma has been indifferent to nearly everyone.
There was nothing to be proud of.
For somewhere, these actions isolated him from himself.
As if he thought for no one but himself sometimes…
The lyrics are written by Skip Spence.
Spence was a member of the group Moby Grapes. And during the recording session of their second album, he took some drugs that caused him serious delusions.
He tried to axe down the door of one of his bandmates, Don, to save him from himself.
Six months later, Spence was diagnosed with shizophrenia.
