Capítulo 31: Chapter 31: Diva Season

“Children of nowadays!” Sue snapped. “We are busy pampering you, thinking you are pregnant, yet, you are pregnant with tequila?”

“When and where did she drink this tequila?” Debbie asked as she stepped away from fluffing Lia’s cushion.

“Umm, during the wedding reception, Mom. We all did shots to celebrate the big day!” Ryan chipped in covering for Lia.

Ryan could tell Lia was stuck for words after Bobby’s irresponsible outburst. He was not in support of his wife going clubbing on their wedding day and getting wasted, but it did not make any sense to throw her under the bus.

“Yes---we had shots during the reception. Lia is not a big drinker. That is probably why the alcohol got the best of her,” Bobby said.

Sue and Debbie shook their heads and left the dining room. Luke did not comment, but he too wiped his mouth with a napkin and followed in the direction his wife had gone.
