“I don’t trust a single thing that he said, and neither should you. Pay him and his words no mind,” Hayden said calmly.
If I could control my mind that precisely then that was what I wanted to do. However, it wasn’t always so easy. Curiosity was like a curse.
“Come here,” Hayden said invitingly as he waved me over.
I wondered what he wanted. Regardless, I decided to obediently go to him. I stood next to his seat for a brief moment before his hands reached out and pulled me onto his lap.
“Hayden…” I whispered his name with slight surprise.
“Let me hold you for a while…” he murmured close to my ear.
His arms around me held me tightly in his embrace before he turned me around so that I could settle more comfortably on his lap with my back against his large and warm frame.
“Are you tired?” I asked as I leaned back a little against him.
“Not really…” Hayden replied calmly.
