Charlotte Cooper looked at the man in front of her. Was this still the Henry Russell she knew?
"Can't you just let me go? What do you want from me?" Charlotte almost begged. She was so tired now; all she wanted was to find a place to rest for a few days. Was that too much to ask?
Henry sneered, "Let you go? Then who will let me go?"
"Can we just let each other go? I'm really tired."
"Fine, then you tell me where you're going."
Charlotte didn't know where she could go after leaving here, but as long as it was a place without Henry, it would be fine.
"You don't need to know that."
Charlotte's words were clearly misunderstood by Henry.
"None of my business? You want to be with that Joseph Andrew, don't you? But don't forget, Charlotte, you are still my wife. As long as our divorce is not finalized, you're still my woman, Henry Russell's woman," said Henry crazily, as if it could cover up his deep jealousy and his inability to let go of the woman in front of him.
