Vanessa Foster sat on the couch with a heavy expression, the soft touch of the cushion doing nothing to ease her tension. In her hand, she clutched a photo of her and her child, both beaming with happiness.
"You're here quite early, Miss Foster." A fashionable woman in a scarf with a small face hidden behind enormous sunglasses sat across from her. When she slowly removed her shades, it was none other than Charlotte.
"What have you done to my child?" Vanessa gritted her teeth, wishing she could tear this woman apart for threatening her with her own child.
"As long as you do as I say, he'll be just fine. But if you don't, well, I'm sure my husband has enough power to ensure you never see your child again in this lifetime." Charlotte spoke languidly, then picked up her coffee cup and smiled at the desperate Vanessa.
"Don't hurt my child. I'll do whatever you want, just don't hurt my child." Vanessa pleaded.
"Fine." Charlotte nonchalantly uttered her next instructions.
