Asher sat on the sofa with his hand supporting his face and it was for comfort too. Anyone could tell by the redness of his eyes that he had been crying for quite some time now.

Pepper emerged from the kitchen holding a cup of hot steaming Cocoa. She stopped midway since she was conflicted whether to offer him some bread or simply force Asher to drink the tea.

Pepper always found comfort in a cup of sweetened Cocoa whenever she was overwhelmed and she hoped her husband would too. It's been close to an hour and she was nowhere closer to getting him to stop leaking. She felt the cup move unsteadily to the right and it spilled some of the liquid on her leg.

Damn it! Her hand was still shaking from shock. Her husband finally told her his deepest darkest secret and she was clueless on how to console him.
