Mary screeched her car into the compound and hastily alighted from it and made into her sitting room only to meet Tony and his two bullies sharing a bottle of whisky and pack of cigar from her bar. It was by chance that she didn't mistake her sitting room for a night club. She pinned at the door, combed around the sitting room with her suspicious stare, to ascertain if more of his boys were perched at some corners of the sitting room.

She breathed hard and stared at Tony and his two boys; she was convinced now that it was only three of them and by her calculation her daughter was still upstairs or might have escaped through the window now. Quietly Tony stared at her while he smiled and sipped at his whisky. The other two boys didn't care if she was around or not; as they chatted and murmured among themselves.
