Capítulo 30: My son

My youngest son....as a child was always so quite and well behaved...or so i thought, for him to be abused as such by my own wives, and sons, it breaks my heart even to this day, but I cannot look to the past, and just as Gideon has, I have to move forward
Even when he was still but a boy, he was brilliant, first coming up with "glass", and my word, did glass take off like a rapidash possessed, the amount of gold we made from glass alone easily doubled the territory income and created a lot more jobs for the common folk.
Not to mention, the glass statues he made for the royalty he ask me to hand over in private were a smashing success, they were over joyed to receive them, they almost summoned him to the capital on the spot, I had managed to talk them out of it thankfully.
While I love my son, but his temper and vocabulary...well it's not fit to be heard by royal ears....honestly it could make a sailor blush.
And by arceus above...the food....oh the food, it makes me wonder what we have been eating al my life, royal chefs pale in comparison to the food my boy can cook, and when I asked him why he didn't want to spread this miraculous blessing his words were and I quote " because fuck em that's why"
He seems to dislike nobles, even being one himself, but it's hard to blame him after his childhood,but I also know that a majority of nobles are quite cruel and ruthless, especially to the lower caste.
And the final thing to mention about my boy is his Pokémon.... They are all so powerful, and grow so fast, when he first showed me his magikarp, I would have told him to get rid of it due to gyarados being uncontrollable, but when I saw his face showing me his first Pokémon I couldn't do that to him.
And now, the magikarp is the biggest gyarados I have ever seen, at least 4 times the size of a regular gyarados... but for some reason it has an almost calm temperament, gyarados are usually raging killing machines but this one is nothing like that, and I'm almost certain it's at least king rank, for him to reach such a level in under 10 years is unheard of.
And we come to his second Pokémon his houndoom and when I first met it...it was strange to say the least, the houndoom line, while loyal, are not a Pokémon who could be described as friendly, you could describe them as downright hateful even to their own trainers, but Gideons is like a playful pup when with him, I have never seen anything like it.....and it's at king rank as well…..how does he do it…
And we come to his third Pokémon he found as still a boy, a metragross, yes a mettagross..... to say they are rare would be far to much of an understatement. I would bet that he owns the only one in the Sinnoh kingdom, and don't even get me started on it being a colour variant….who are known to be bigger and more powerful than the rest of their kind. And with it being a psychic type on top of all this….his luck in finding good Pokémon is almost beyond belief….
He has 3 more who he found over the years, a gengar, while not being AS rare as the others, you don't see very often because of what it takes to keep ghost type Pokémon in line, when I questioned Gideon about it he told me he had away around it, so I believed him…
And onto his bellossom, while not very rare are usually more of a decoration if anything, but his bellossoms power is quite frightening, and it's temperament is volatile at best…
I still remember when we were walking through my city of Holem together discussing a big deal on glass, when Gideon suddenly tripped over, and a small group of children around 5-6 years old started to chuckle at his predicament, and I could swear I seen what looks like a solar beam forming, that was until Gideon picked her up and carried her under his arm like a petulant child.
And now let's talk about his "Rhyperior" an evolution to the rhydon line no one even knew existed, i would say…no pun intended…. it's going to rock the ground/rock type family's but that would be an understatement, an Undiscovered evolution is massive, especially for such a popular Pokémon, it's almost as big as an achievement as finding and catching a milotic….
And last but certainly not least was my old Pokémon I gifted to him, azumarill...…it was more for protection than anything, but to think it somehow overcame its yellow grade limitations and advanced to green, and in under a decade became king rank. Truely a marvellous undertaking…
I dare say Gideon is one of the stronger trainers in the Sinnoh kingdom…..
And let's not forget his little town outside the city, and that's not putting any downtrodden words onto the place, that's just what they call it, "little town", a small town filled with Gideons self proclaimed "goons", and it seems my boy has an eye for talent, almost all of them are brilliant at what they do, wether it be his butler Logan who achieves excellence at everything he does, his head chef, Leah who's food is so breathtaking I find myself coming here for meals more than home, or his "merchant goon" Rick, who started his merchant company "ineeta gold".
I wonder who this ineeta is, for Gideon to name his merchant company after her, she must hold quite a place in his heart. But his company is doing quite well, to well even that's half the reason I'm going to visit my son today, some nobles have started to put pressure on me to have the leader of "ineeta gold" to give up some business profits to them because they are losing money to his products.
Of course I never would help them in anyway but I wanted to discuss with my son that they might start playing dirty...
And the other half of my visit is the man sitting in front of me.... The former king of Sinnoh, Kane Sinnoh…..he came to the city just yesterday and his purpose was to have a few more glass statues made for a present for his grandson, but I would have to ask Gideon to do it due to the fact no one is quite at skilled at glass work, even after all these years…..
Victor : pardon me your majesty, but I must again let you know my son is....unique, while his skills in glass and business are known, his temper and general disregard of status are not, so if he some how offends you, I pray your forgiveness"
Kane " hahahaha, don't worry about that, i hate fancy titles and formalities, I would rather just speak as men, rather than a former king and a noble"
Me " well I can assure you he will give you just that, and again I caution you not to speak ill of Gideon in the presence of his bollossom, she is quite a violent little thing"
Kane " yeah, I hear ya, but a bollossom of all things? Quite peculiar I must say"
As we continued our short journey in silence we reached our destination…..and... as we ride through town I see the town seems to be in low spirits, people are sleeping on the side of the road, and the people who are awake look dead on their feet….. everyone…..
Kane " must have been one hell of a party, I know a hangover when I see one... but for a whole town to be hungover??, I think me and your boy Gideon are going to get on just fine"
He said with a big grin on his face, and we made our way to his mansion and as we pull up..his majesty takes a deep breath…
Kane " I don't smell anything rotten at all, even the cleanest city's I've been to with grimer to spare have a certain smell to them…..but this place smells so…..clean…..and now I look around, this "little town" is so well put together, it almost makes the capital look shabby"
Oh yes, my sons little town is one of a kind, that is for sure, it's beauty is beyond doubt, and a unique style that I must say looks refined.
Suddenly we hear a voice from behind.
Gideon " hey pops, what brings you down to my neck of the woods?, and I see you also brought company, well come inside and we can get started on whatever brought you here"
