"You were defeated in a single move? Are you sure that there's not something wrong with your mind?" Alicia asked as she looked at Derek, suspicious that there might actually be something wrong with him.

"Are you looking down on me? Although it is true that I always chase after you, you have to know that I am not an idiot. I do believe that if the two of us get married, our two families are going to benefit the most.

The alliance between our two families is going to be something more beneficial, than the alliance between your family and the whatever family that you are currently engaged with." Derek stated.

Alicia was just about to retort that she was not actually interested in any of the engagement between the two families when Derek continued.
