The silence between the two of them was broken when the words fell from Valerie's mouth. She expressed her boredom through her tone and countenance.

"You are here."

Leslie stumbled forward and carefully asked, "Did you see it?"

Valerie pursed her lips into a thin line before answering, "You mean the scandal that you were sleeping with Arnold Davies? Yes. Quite a surprise indeed."

While Valerie maintained a calm attitude, Lucian's eyes widened in shock. What sort of drama was this evolving into? There was literally no end to it.

"Valerie, I-I am sorry, but I can explain. And—"

Before she was able to carry on further, Valerie cut her off by saying, "I don't need an explanation. You are an adult, and you have the right to your own decisions. I am no one to comment on them, and I made it clear earlier that I don't want to do anything with you.
