I paced in wolf form, waiting for her to come home.

My impatience was mainly from Chagan, but it fed into my concern. Where was she? I tried mind-linking her, but it was static between us. The last time that happened, it was because of Marcus. However, this felt like something else. 

It was more like the connection wasn't working.

Finally, I smell her and feel the bond getting tighter as she approaches. So, I stopped pacing and turned in the direction she was coming from. She stopped at the trees, and we stared at each other. Before I can stop it, Chagan growls and moves forward, but Kali doesn't move away. She stands her ground, not cowering from our anger.

There's another wolf on her.
