I should be asleep.
The frustrating thing about your mind versus your body is unless they're both synced up, it won't ever do what you want it to do. It's two AM, and I'm still wide awake, staring at the alarm clock as the minutes go by, trying to convince my brain to let me rest. Unfortunately, there was too much on my mind, and Black coral was just enjoying egging me on. My body screams at me to sleep. It's reminding me that we have to get up at six, only four hours away.
Ivan's lips brush against my ear, letting me know he's awake too. But, contrary to his beliefs, he doesn't snore every night. Most nights, but not all the time. Especially when I rub the base of his skull right when he's drifting off, he doesn't make much noise. When he's sure he has my attention, he moves from my ear to my neck, a hand rubbing my side and stomach.
"I'm keeping you up?" Turning over, I let my leg drape over his hip, drawing him closer. "Aren't I?"
