We've just passed the Georgia border when my phone goes off. It's Savvy. Yep. Seems about right. I bring the device to my ear, my heart pounding with nerves. Someone must've noticed something which is why I'm finally getting a call.

"Hey."

"Dude - where are you?"

"Georgia."

"What? You're in Georgia?" she shouts. "What happened? Your mom is flipping shit right now!"

"Really? She hasn't called." I look at my phone, checking the screen. Nope. Still no call - which means mom finally noticed I'm not home, but called Savvy first in a panic. Maybe I got mad about the Tennessee decision, and I snuck out to be with my best friend. But when Savvy explained I wasn't with her, mom knew. Which means Aunt Milly knows. Which means I'll be getting the call any minute.

"Autumn - what is going on? Why are you in Georgia?"

"They were going to transfer me," I glance at Alex, and then out the window, "...to live with my Aunt Milly. In Tennessee. I told Alex, and we're - "
