Most people on the ground heaved a sigh of relief as some even had their legs getting soft and ending up falling on their asses.
While the Knightmare frame pilots got more cautious and felt like retreating already because they know based on the technology that it showed alone that they would be no match.
All the pilots had studied their machines no matter how briefly it might be and they know what it is capable of doing and what they saw that the unknown machine did is something else entirely!
They weren't worried too much about the impact it would do when it falls, what they were worried about is what it can do after it falls.
They are the only ones that stared into the machine while it was falling from the sky together with the people from far away who are using long-range surveillance technologies.
They did not sigh in relief when the machine did not fall instead, it hover in the sky while in its humanoid form.
They fcking started sweating cold badly when they saw that instead!
The machine had a huge rifle-like object in its hand together with a red shield on the other.
Regardless of who they are, everyone who saw it just gaped at it.
Even Soran Ibrahim got his paralyzed face, unparalyzed.
It broke into shock and started gaping.
The ones that are nearest to the machine can see that it is much, much bigger than the Knightmare frames that everyone is used to seeing.
The fcking big ass rifle-like thing, together with its wings releasing those bright thruster tail flames made it look imposing, cool, and awesome.
If any Gundam fan sees it, they would know that it was doing the Jesus pose of Kira Yamato combined with a T pose to assert dominance.
Nobody moved, waiting for the intruder to be the first one to do so.
And it did.
It brought its big rifle in front of it and held it with both hands before it fcking separated the big rifle into two slightly thinner ones but still as long.
Many cautious people who retained their rational minds shuddered at what that weapon can do.
They did not manage to make any guesses though, as the machine started firing laser beams using the two-beam rifles, one on each hand.
It fired at the Knightmare frames of both sides destroying each in a single shot.
It managed to destroy a few machines before every Knightmare frame started fighting back while also requesting permission to retreat.
Everyone fired at the unknown big machine that continued to hover in the air without a problem.
The weapons fired are mostly Knightmare frame-scaled guns with some launchers and missiles but the machine did not dodge and everyone thought that it could not do so cause it was too big and heavy.
They thought it could not move freely in the air.
But after the smoke and dust had cleared up, they saw that it was fcking fine.
Everyone started going pale because of that and the Knightmare frame pilots started running away while shooting without even waiting for the order of retreat from their respective command centers.
Some even shouted hysterically as they finished clip by clip of bullets.
The hovering big robot then starts moving horizontally slightly as if to test its mobility in the atmosphere while it started firing its beam rifles again, seemingly wanting to wipe out every Knightmare frame it can see.
Many surveillance devices and technology caught it in a video, and almost everyone that can watch it started observing it more closely.
Soran though, on the ground, just gaped at all this, just like everyone else who is only an infantry unit.
He can't keep his eyes away from the machine.
"Pew! Pew! Pew! Hahaha!" AA started enjoying himself in this one-sided offensive as he continued eliminating every Knightmare frame in the surroundings.
If people had not realized or had not noticed, AA had become unhinged now, his guilt and conscience in killing people had lowered to only not killing innocent people 'directly' and 'personally'.
He is comfortable with killing people from these two sides as they are people who had already killed before or have the duty to kill, it's just fair for the one who kills to be killed by someone too, is what he thought himself.
Soran though...
'What the hell! What the hell!
What the fck is happening!
God!' Soran thought inside his head as he shivered slightly from seeing the power that the unknown machine is showing him.
He raised a hand towards the machine seemingly wanting to grasp it with his hand.
"I, I... Robot!" Soran shouted as he suddenly have a goal that he wanted to live for right now.
He wanted to know what that robot is.
To be its pilot!
He will do it!
Soran then got himself together before retreating to the rendezvous point that the mercenary group leader had told them about while the surroundings are a mess.
At least for the Knightmare frames, the whole place is a danger zone, there is no escape, but for the infantry, it is quite easy to retreat as they aren't being targeted by that monstrous machine that had a seemingly angelic design.
"Hmmm?" AA hummed as he saw that the Setsuna look-alike is retreating already. "It seems that I have to finish everything already."
He then set the two beam rifles into burst fire mode even if it will lower the power of the laser beams, causing the Knightmare frames of his targets would still not be able to defend against it no matter what.
The materials used to build the currently available Knightmare frames do not have any resistance to beam weapons because beam weapons are supposed to be only at the theoretical stages of development right now.
Even railguns aren't yet fully developed and that's what comes first before giant high-powered lasers.
The latest railgun development is the one from Britannia that is currently equipped with the Tristan proto-type.
Although America managed to get one of those, they should still be in the middle of research or just about to complete the research on it.
