Capítulo 68: CHAPTER 67: Back at the start.

In a blink of an eye Sirin found himself in a wide grass land. The dim magic swirling around was slightly familiar, until he placed it. This was one of the first worlds that he had been to. Where the world faced an apocalypse like event, and he met the human Jan and the cambion Mirana.

He grinned from ear to ear. He might not have been able to ask the god what he wanted to ask, and though that infuriated him, more chances would come. But right now, he could find his former companions' once again. They would be an immense help in the fortress if he wanted a more domineering presence.

So, this was indeed the best thing that could happen in this worst-case scenario.

Guided by the small amount of blood he had left in the duo's possession he flew up and headed in the direction where he sensed that this small part of himself was.

It took him a day to find a small bunker in a hill. Sadly, after the apocalyptic event not that much technology had remained intact, so the construction was still ongoing.

As a shadow demon he easily slipped through most of the unfinished security measures. He had to kill a few people that were standing in the way every now and then, but it was no big deal. They seemed overworked and stressed anyways.

Because he was closer to his blood it could not help him anymore unless one of his former companions was always carrying it with them.

Therefore, he now had to actively search for them, after mindlessly searching through the building he found Miranda.

She seemed a fair bit older now and her filed down horns had almost completely grown back.

Without making a sound Sirin crawled out of the shadows and took on his usual form again.

Suddenly he grabbed the shoulder of the woman. "Hello Mirana, I'm back."

The moment his clawed had touched her shoulder she turned around, knife in hand, ready to stab him in the chest.

But then she saw the pale face and blue eyes. Her eyes brightened and Sirin could hear her heartbeat increase as she pulled him in a hug.

Despite her havening grown a lot she could barely reach Sirin's chest. "You're back." She softly whispered. "you're finally back."

"It hasn't even been a year for me." The demon scoffed. "Though looking at you, it seems more time has passed here."

"About ten years." She muttered. "I wasn't sure if I could ever see you again."

Sirin managed to escape out of her grasp. "How so? I know my blood is somewhere close by."

Mirana sat down on her desk her purple tail swinging from side to side. "It was sealed away. Please don't be mad." She pleated, tears forming in her eyes. "The people here would have killed me if I didn't give them the demon blood. And since Jan wouldn't want to bring you back, I figured that I was the only one who could do it. And I needed to be alive for that."

"I see." Sirin softly hummed. "I'm not mad, not at all. Though I did happen to arrive here by pure chance, I still have an offer for you. For the both of you, if your human friend is still alive of course."

Mirana let out a sigh of relief and nodded. "Yes, he is very much still alive. He would be back here at any moment to help plan our wedding."

Sirin softly smiled. "Good, I can't wait to scare the living shit out of him once he is here. I'll wait with my proposal until then as well."

"Oh right, I just remembered. Your wings, which was why you left right? How are they? Are they still the same?"

Sirin shrugged. "A little larger, but I've grown in general so that had to be expected."

As Sirin spoke, so did he unfold his wings. The room was too small to spread them out entirely, but Mirana could have a clear view of them.

"Good, while you were gone, I tried to find all the information about demon wings and feathers that I could. No one thought anything of it with the excuse of wanting to use my own wings." She proudly exclaimed as she reached for a thick book on the top shelf.

"I say we just compare your feathers to whatever I found, and we might get to know why they're like that."

REFLEXIONES DE LOS CREADORES
Caeruleum Caeruleum

Sorry for suddenly disappearing for an eternity and a half. I was forced into a hiatus because of some pretty rough circumstances. Though the situation is far from resolved, life goes on and I want to continue this novel.
