Capítulo 14: Chapter 13
Akio immediately moved out of the dorm the next morning at dawn. It took him only one round to take his things to Zark's place with his little to no luggage.
Having solved the problem of shelter, even though temporary, he decided to take the day off. Like the last day, he started off on the street without knowing his destination. He saw fewer people than the last day. Perhaps it was because he had started earlier than last time.
Although it was comparatively less, it did not stop people from forming crowds. As he walked, he could see various shopkeepers just starting their day. He reached an area that was like a rich man's neighborhood. To reach the stretch of road which was famous for branded items, one must pass through here. Hence, this road was not made private property.
Akio heard someone shouting just ahead. He ran towards the voice to see what was wrong and found some butlers and maids shouting at the cross-section of the road.
『IS THERE A DOCTOR HERE?! PLEASE, WE NEED ONE! OUR MADAM HAS BEEN POISONED! WE WILL PAY TWICE THE AMOUNT. SO, PLEASE COME FORWARD!』
Hearing this, Akio didn't stay still. He silently ran forward till he came across the wall of the compound from where the butlers and maids were coming from.
He levitated himself and dropped on the other side of the wall.
The mansion he saw there was spectacular. It was not bigger than his former house but it was still very beautifully made.
『Must be a big shot.』
Akio stealthily moved through the soft grass, searching for an entrance to move in. He went around the house till he found an open window on the third floor.
Again he levitated himself using magic quietly and jumped on the window sill. He looked up to see if there was anyone who saw him. As soon as he looked at the room, he smiled and shrugged.
『Curse my luck.』
He cursed his luck because as his luck would've had it, he dropped into a room full of maids and butlers, who were staring holes at him.
Seeing Akio, several of the maids screamed out. And within a second, Guards wearing completely black stormed into the room.
『What?! What happened?!』
They did not even notice Akio until the butlers pointed him out. It made him wonder if they were really guards.
『Who are you?! Why are you here?! Were you the one who poisoned the madam?! Are you here to finally kill her?!』
Akio was perplexed to hear this.
『Woah, Woah, slow down there, buddy. I don't even know what's going on here. Seeing the commotion your people are making outside, I decided to drop by to pay a visit to the incident.』
『Through the window? By sneaking through like a thief? You think we are all idiots here, huh?! Do you?!』
『Would you have let me in?』
『What did you say, bastard?!』
『Would you let someone like me, who is so young and doesn't have any proof of his identity or profession, enter your mansion?』
『That doesn't mean you are allowed to enter as you please! And why, for the same reason, do you expect us to believe you?! Now, leave at once otherwise we will have to take care of you with the full force of the mansion.』
『Really now. You seem to be misunderstanding something mate. I don't 'expect' you to believe me. Since I got caught, I guess I will have to 'make' you believe me now.』
『Wha-』
The guard didn't even get to finish his word. In that instant, Akio cut into space and came out just in front of the nearest guard. He grabbed his head and smashed it on the carpeted floor.
『-t?!』
When he finished his word, he felt something that prevented him from saying any more. He saw his colleague lying on the floor. The spotless carpet now had his friend's head going through the floor.
Not a word came out. His limbs started trembling. His legs were losing power. When he looked at Akio again, it felt as if he was looking at a monster, an inhuman being.
『Now, I hope you understand. So, will anyone bother to tell me the incident? Oh, and just give only the bare details, please. My patience runs thin due to you and your.....behavior earlier.』
『Y-y-y-y-yes, sir. I-I understand.』
