Capítulo 96: River of Time
"Mr Stark, this is your drop point. Hopefully, we will meet again." A knight calmly dropped Stark from their Quinjet near Stark's parental villa in Long Island, New York. The others were already handed over to the other teams and sent to the nearest hospital for proper care.
In the night, the invisible aircraft softly landed on the ground and Tony walked out with the knight.
Looking at the empty scenery, Tony was really confused. He thought he would be taken to these guys' secret place, some advanced hidden lab, or some private island with lots of machines and everything, but they casually dropped him near his father's house.
Isn't this too boring. Where is Phil? Who designed this aircraft? Who are these super-powered humans who helped him?
There are thousands of thoughts shooting off in Stark's head, but he still politely shook the hands with the knight and got off the Quinjet.
Just when Tony felt that he missed a very big opportunity to gain something invaluable, he heard a voice.
A voice he had not heard in more than 10 years.
"Tony!"
Tony's body jerked in an unconscious response, and he saw his father coming out of a car with his mother.
For Tony, his parent's long holiday has always been a mystery. After a sudden transfer of rights, his parents disappeared from the face of the earth. No matter how hard he tried and where he looked, he could not locate them.
But now, both of his parents were standing in front of him. Healthy, fit and looking better than in his memory.
Tony was unable to say anything, but his father Howard hugged his son tightly. Tony's mother Maria Stark was also very emotional at this moment. She has waited a long time to get her family back and finally after so many ups and downs, she is with her husband and son.
The Starks came back to their original manor in Long Island and Tony spent the next few days with his family. The return of Starks sent several waves in the business circle in the US. Howard Stark, the name is enough to shake many giants and the impact of such a genius and tycoon is more far-reaching than many can expect.
After a week, Howard had a media conference where he publicly informed his return but refused to share the future growth of Stark company. Tony also led his team and directly took over full control of Stark enterprise kicking off many other shareholders from the Board of Directors.
Some he bought with money; some were simply forced to give up their shares by force or blackmail. Tony is not a saint but a genius at making weapons. Just because he never showed his ferocious side, doesn't mean his nature is a soft and gentle one.
Also, his friend Rhodey used Military power to further show his vengeance. Kidnapping him and threatening his family already crossed the bottom line of Rhodey and military simply handled the Starks vs Stane manner in an efficient manner.
Tony's secretary Pepper Potts also came back and her relationship with Tony took a big step forward. With the blessing and silent support from Maria, Pepper found she was spending more and more time with Tony and Tony reduced his frivolous nature a lot.
Tony asked a lot of questions from Howard about Philip and his holiday and Howard only gave one piece of advice repeatedly.
"You are at the forefront of machine design and artificial intelligence. Your Iron Suit itself is a great innovation and creation that can deter any large force. However, in the crowd of other enhanced beings and super-powered beings, the suit's ability is very limited.
If you want to join this club of powerful people, then you must prove your ability. You must make them invite you to their team rather than depend on relationships."
Howard said while checking recent reports in the business circle. Tony carefully digested his words and understood the essence.
Tony jumped into research and modification of his Iron suit and decided to make it lethal enough to become the firepower of future wars.
In this way, the genius Tony Stark was motivated to a large degree and his deviation in the original world helped him achieve his future Iron Man destiny almost 10 years in advance.
Howard Stark came back from the long 'holiday' and also jumped into his company affairs and helped his son achieve a height he failed to do in his time.
Everyone knows when it comes to intelligence and innovation, Howard was a pioneer in his time. Using his own strength, he designed and produced a palm-sized power source for Tony's Iron man suit. This was thanks to the element he theorised after observing the Infinity gem / Tesseract and this helped Tony avoid any palladium poisoning in advance.
Maria along with Pepper became the head of Stark enterprise and started managing daily operations. The company basically shifted its future goals from the weapon sector to the energy sector and again sent ripples across the business world.
There was chaos in Shadow Isles. Somehow two prisoners Taskmaster and Predator- that were caught by the joint efforts and sacrifice of loyal knights, Commander Steve and Bucky Barnes, escaped without any sign.
No signs of foreign invasion, no hacking attempt, no forced breakthrough but just disappeared in thin air. After looking at all possible clues, Gordon theorised this must a work of a teleporter.
The presence of a teleporter and unknown enemies pushed Fury into restlessness. Finding it impossible to control the changing world from the shadows and getting all Information that never enters into any system, Fury decided to make a major career change.
In a private meeting with security council leaders, Fury was chosen to lead the planet as the security head and new head of SHIELD. Anyway, the leaders of the security council knew Fury already had immense power behind scenes.
Only by giving him legal authority and proper channels, can they access possible information about aliens and dangers that are mostly hidden from the public eyes.
Fury left shadow Isles operations in the hands of Hope Pym. The original operations head that had been with Fury and learning all the methods and techniques of this work.
In this way, Tesseract along with many other precious and world-changing technologies from the hands of SHIELD quietly shifted into the secret base of Shadow Isles.
If Phil was still here, he would have been shocked by the bold decisions taken by his peers. However, Phil was going through life and death battle situation and fighting to protect his family.
Similarly, one major character, Bruce Banner getting proper military funding and support, started his Project Rebirth. This is also five years ahead of time and only time will tell, if the recent changes are good or bad for the mankind.
