I didn't waste time and just kissed him right there when he kneeled with one knee as he checked on me. The contact was electrifying; a hundred times more electrifying than when Timothy and I kissed before, I couldn't explain the sensation but it was consuming me. I couldn't tell what Jace felt, my eyes were closed when I kissed him. After some time, I broke it off and wondered what he would say. I was afraid of another rejection but looking at him after the kiss gave me hope.

Jace was flustered much as I am, though surprised he didn't push me away and was just staring at me intensely. There was silence between us until a grunt from one of the suspects was heard.
