Capítulo 27: Issue #4

"This human was able to kill those two? He also appears to have taken their powers. I have been looking for an interesting human like this. As long as he is a bit obedient, I won't have to use him for my experiments."

A blue demon was watching as Jack traveled through the corridors of the castle through his magical mirror.

---

Unaware that he was being watched, Jack walked through the castle as if he was on a tour. He would look up and down the walls, stop to admire a painting or two that looked really good, kill guards that tried to stop him. The usual tourist things.

After going into 5 rooms that were empty (had nothing he found interesting or of value in), Jack finally came across the room he was most interested in.

'The library. This demon truly is more intelligent than the others.'

Most demons were comparable to prehistoric humans. They formed communities and had some communication but overall, were very stupid. Only high-ranked demons would use things like tools or magic. Or read.

'Alright. Remember where this is. After we kill the demon in charge of here, then we can come back and read all the books he created/owned.'

Jack made sure that he remembered where the library was before he left the room once again. He continued to walk through the hallways and check out rooms. But when he reached a large door, a sudden ominous feeling overtook him.

Jack walked in and saw 8 humans, all naked, in various devices. Some looked like they were being tortured, some looked like they were being experimented on, and others looked like they were just waiting for death in their place.

Jack shook his head before using his telepathy to try and reach into their minds. Luckily for him, they had not been corrupted by the dimension and could still read their thoughts. But once he got through, he was completely puzzled.

'Limbo is connected to multiple universes? Cause 4 of these people have memories of things that definitely didn't happen where I came from unless I missed WW3.

And all of them weren't sent by a girl having a bad day. Some were dragged in by random demons and some just walked on the wrong magical portal. What is this place?'

But the most confusing part was when he read the mind of one woman. From what he could tell, she was from the same world as him. But she entered Limbo 3 months before Magik had sent him inside. Yet she had only been in the dimension for 1 month.

Before Jack could even try and do the math on it, he heard footsteps approaching him from behind. Jack turned around and saw a blue demon that was naked save for a red loincloth standing at the door where he entered.

"Hello there. I am.." several shards of black ice stabbed into the body. Moments after that, both the shards and body disappeared into nothing

"Well that was rude," the same voice said coming from inside the room now.

Jack turned and saw that the demon was looking at one of the humans he had strapped to a table. It appeared as if he did not have a scratch from the attack that Jack had just fired at him.

"You are Ul'ir, one of the 4 candidates to take over Limbo after Belasco. Out of the 4, it is said that your skill with magic is the best. This is your castle where you have been trying to build up an army but your human slaves keep getting killed by either yourself or the other 3 candidates' underlings."

The demon looked at Jack with interest

"Oh. Are you a spy from the others? No. They hate humans and would rather kill you than make you their servant," Ul'ir started answering his own question. "So you must have gotten that from these 7. Memory viewing? Mind melding? Hmm. If I make you my slave, you may tell me honestly. But what if you can only do it subconsciously? Then I would have to dissect you and would have wasted time and resources by using one of my collars."

Ul'ir talked about his possible plans for using Jack as he pleased right in front of the latter as if his opinion on the matter did not matter at all.

'I guess he doesn't really care about my opinion if he is thinking about making me a slave or an experiment.'

Jack fired more shards of ice at Ul'ir that pierced through him. But the figure of Ul'ir turned to mist and reappeared a few feet away undamaged. That was how the game of cat and mouse began.

Jack would fire ice at Ul'ir, the latter would phase through or remake his body somewhere close by. This happened throughout the entire castle as Jack chased him down. And the entire time, only one thought was on his mind.

'I hate mages! I hate mages! I hate mages! One sends me to Hell and the other won't just die after I have killed him so many times.'

Jack chased after Ul'ir until the pair reached the central courtyard. There, Ul'ir finally stopped running. The pair stood facing each other while countless plants that Jack could not even describe were all around them.

"Ha! You finally out of magic, you damn demon?" Jack was itching to kill the demon

"Not at all. I just didn't want to damage my own home while subduing you. I am tired of this garden though so I am more than willing to destroy it while I take you down." Ul'ir explained as if he was in complete control of the situation

Jack wanted to laugh at the Ul'ir but before he said anything, he saw Ul'ir disappear once more. The demon reappeared in the sky. With around 100 identical siblings. Each of them was holding a black staff in their hands that had a ball of pink energy forming at the end. And they were all pointing in Jack's direction.

"Did I mention that I hate mages?" Jack asked before summoning a pair of icy blades to confront the demon

(Sorry. Would have released this 30 minutes ago but... I got distracted. Still trying to figure out the harem. Decided on 3 and figured out 2 of the members. The last one is hard to pick.)
