Capítulo 27: chapter 26: A New Roommate?!

I know that I should have left when I had the chance but no, I insisted on staying thinking that I would be working on the project but it seems like Martha had a plan all along sh*t.
She probably planned this all along, bringing someone who doesn't even go to college because he seems like a drop out.
She invited people here and now she wants me to do all the work while she and samra host unknown party.
I was so pissed off by Martha's words that I grabbed my bag, laptop and left the room.
I barely knew where I was going until something caught my eyes, it was a room, the door was slightly opened so I pushed it and it turned out to be an office.
"This must be her mom's office " I said quietly to myself.
So I got in and out of nowhere, someone was standing behind me, it was the old man. He stared at me for a while before he asked me what I was doing there.
"May I know what you're doing here in this office?" He asked confused.
"I...I was looking for a place to do my work it seems like the others are not interested do you mind if I use this room?" I asked as I looked around.
"Well am afraid I can't let you stay here because my boss doesn't like people go to her office without her permission " he informed me.
"Ok, sorry but if you don't mind can you please tell me a quiet place where I can be able to concentrate on my work so that I don't get distracted?" I asked him.
"If you like, I can take you to the library and you can do your homework or whatever it is that you are working on" he said as he pointed out.
I left the office and followed him to the library wherever it was, we walked for another ten minutes until we reached to a door, he opened and my mouth opened up.
I couldn't believe it, the library was huge and if I were to stay here, I wouldn't have never left this room.
I walked in and I couldn't stop admiring the room, the whole place was full books,I could stay here forever if only I lived here but am a guest so I'll take the advantage of this weekend.
I turned to see the butler looking at me, so I wondered.
"You seemed to be mesmerized with the room that you barely heard what I asked right?" He asked curiously.
"Yeah you're right,am sorry it's just i never imagined a house would have such a big library, i guess samra never gets tired of reading?" I asked him.
"That's right, she loves reading and never stops reading novels and like i asked before would you like to have something to drink?" He asked again as i wasn't aware of the question before.
"Thanks and yes i would like to have mango juice please " i said as i put my bag on the couch.
"Right away, please make yourself comfortable " he said before he left and closed the door.
I laid on the sofa and took out my book to take notes, I opened my laptop and started working on the project.
I don't know how long I was working, my fingers felt numb so I stopped working but instead took a break.
The butler whose name is Anders, brought me food which I thanked him and i started eating it.
After i was done, i walked around the room, to search for a book to read, as i was walking through the section of novels, my eyes caught one of the novels i once read in the school library.
I was glad to find it here, i took it and sat on the couch I was before and started reading it.
I was in the middle of the story when my eyes became heavy and I was unable to see so I laid the book on my chest and slept on the couch.
Little did I know I felt someone's hand on my cheek, it was warm and I barely opened my eyes to see who it was.
I could hear a heavy breath then the person stopped touching me and instead laid their head next to me.
"You seem tired, I don't know how to tell you this but am sorry for being rude to you back then" he said.
I recognize the voice it...it was br...Brian?
But why is he here in the library? I questioned my subconscious
Isn't it obvious, maybe he got bored and decided to leave.
I seriously wanted to open my eyes and see him but I fought the idea but instead I pretended to sleep.
He didn't say anything else but instead sat on the floor and put his head next to mine.
My heart was jumping with excitement as I felt his presence next to me. I couldn't help but to smile while asleep.
I silently prayed that he doesn't see it or else he would have thought that I was pretending to sleep of which I was but I didn't want him to see it.
Soon I dozed off and I didn't know how long I slept, I woke up and found a blanket on my body and so was Brian.
Even though he was sitting on the floor, he was sleeping and he looked like he was struggling to get himself comfortable on the floor.
I quietly stood up and took my things,I put back the book I was reading and took my phone too which I almost forgot on the table.
I carried my shoes in my hands and tiptoe to the exit of the room, I managed to get out and slowly tried to close the door without making any sound.
"You are awake already?" Anders asked as he appeared out of nowhere.
"Oh My Allah!,Anders you scared me and yes I am, could you please show me the exit, am afraid i might get lost in such a big mansion" I said as I wore my shoes.
"Would you mind following me" he said as he walked away and I followed him like a lost puppy.
Finally we reached the main door of the house and he opened the door and I got out. The sun was shining brightly and I turned to thank him.
"Thank you for the help and please tell samra that I will send her the notes" I said as I walked out.
"I will surely tell her that, see next time" he said as he closed the door.
I didn't even see samra around, I guess she was sleeping after partying last night.
So I left the mansion and luckily I got a taxi driving by and got in. I reached 5he campus and went to my dorm room.
I opened the door and when I got in, I saw a girl sitting on the bed opposite to mine.
My roommate was away,she had a leg injury and was on leave which meant I was going to be here alone.
One thing I noticed about her was that she was wearing a hijab so I guess I'll be with another Muslim girl.
Not that I cared about who should be my roommate but I was happy to have someone whom I have same religion with.
Hopefully I don't get to have a problematic experience with her.
