It took Xia Rouyue a minute before she noticed someone standing beside them. She was shocked when she saw Li Caiyi there.

"Oh my god!" She almost cried out in surprise. However, she quickly regained her composure lest she made a fool of herself in her own party. 

Smiling brightly at her, she outstretched her hand for a handshake. "Geez, my mind must be scattered after talking to many guests tonight. I'm so sorry I didn't see you there, Miss Li. Welcome to my humble, welcoming party."

Li Caiyi subtly studied her expression before accepting her handshake. A light smile on her face. "No big deal, Miss Xia. It happens to me, too, sometimes. This is late, but welcome back to the country."

"Hehe, thank you. I heard from Zhi that you guys are close, but I didn't expect her to really bring you with him to my party. After all that complaining, he still remembers me and invited you here. I'm so happy."
