Erik couldn't understand Lukas's answer. The normal outcome would be for him to notice he was lying, however... it sounded so real.

Lukas sighed. "Erik, tell me one thing: do you really think I would have any troubles to rise up in the army?" he asked.

Erik made a short break before nodding his head. "You are right," he replied. "But... I truly doubt that that's the only reason you have done it," the blonde man added.

Lukas sighed. "There is also another thing for that," he confirmed while nodding his head. "Since Leonhard hates his father, and he would take the throne sooner or later, then I decided to help him take down his father. If we succeeded, then he would trust me forever. And also, that is a very exciting task to do," the blonde boy added.
