"Thank you for the food!"

Everyone digs in and enjoys the hot ramen. The rain hasn't subsided and the pattering sounds on the window became heavier. 

"Is there a typhoon today?" Justin said out of nowhere, getting his second bowl of ramen. His father gave him his bowl too, and the young guy went to the kitchen for another round. 

Amy felt uncomfortable being left there with Justin's father. She gulped the lump in her throat and tried to calm her insides. It was her first time meeting another friend's parents, except for Aiden. 

"What was your name again, young lady?" 

She flinched and nodded her head. "It's Amy, sir.." she replied quickly, getting embarrassed by the address she used. 

A light chuckle escaped John's lips. "Please don't call me like that. Uncle is okay. I want to apologize for the atmosphere in our house. And I was glad that Justin had a friend like you."
