Amelia Sanchez looked sourly at Nina Brown as she approached with a plate of very tempting-looking cookies.

"Albert, try this. I baked it myself."

It was quite sincere that she brought her own cookies to a business cocktail party. Nina was willing to lose face for Albert's sake.

However, it might not be a good idea to provoke her in front of her face!

Amelia extended her hand with a smile, "Miss Johnson, you're too polite. How can I accept this?"

Just as Amelia was getting hungry, she assumed that there would be some desserts at the cocktail party, even if they were only symbolic.

Unexpectedly, it was a pure wine party with all kinds of beverages but no food.

Amelia's eyeballs stuck onto the cookies as soon as Nina brought them over.

Amelia reached out to take them, but Nina moved aside, clearly not wanting to give them to her.
