"Ding, ding, ding…"

After a few rings, Thomas picked up the phone.

"Mr. McDonald, it's so late. Why are you calling me?"

Thomas was probably asleep, so his tone sounded rather groggy.

"Thomas, what exactly is my relationship with Steven Lee?"

Connor was not in the mood to talk nonsense, so he got straight to the point.

One had to know that Thomas had been by Steven's side for the longest time, so Connor was sure that he definitely knew what had happened back then.

If what Thomas and Taran said was the same, then it could prove that Connor was really Steven's grandson.

Thomas seemed to immediately wake up. "Mr. McDonald, why are you suddenly asking me about this?"

"Cut the crap. Let me ask you, what is my relationship with Steven Lee?"

"Mr. McDonald, did you hear something?"

Thomas continued to ask.

"Thomas, you haven't answered my question!"

Connor did not give Thomas any chance to change the topic.
