Capítulo 18: The second queen
[A/N: some of y'all don't want me to write about the girls gathering their peerage, so here's how Sona got her queen]
...
<A few months back>
It has been seven years since she gained the strange ability to call out strange and unnatural beings from mirrors. Seven years since she was forced by her family members to lived in isolation in the outmost part of the house and exactly three years since she lost her father, the only person that cared for her.
She's lonely and close to reaching her breaking point. She wanted out, she wants to live her life rather than stay locked up like some criminal.
So at the tender age of eleven, she decided to run away, she doesn't know where, all she wanted was out.
So, she ran, as quietly and quickly as possible, she just wanted to get as far away as possible.
She decided to go along the forest near the road followed it along.
It was an hour later that she finally decided to stop and rest under one of the trees.

"YAY! But be careful So-tan we're very close to the areas where one of the five principal clan resides"
Tsubaki suddenly heard a voice down the road and suddenly got paranoid and curious cause they were talking about the principle clans which she's apart of even if she doesn't want to.
"I've heard rumors that there's someone with an unique power and the clan doesn't like that." Tsubaki heard another voice and she got even more paranoid and scared.
"Hm~~ Is my little So-tan curious and want to meet this person?"
"Maybe" she heard her reply.
"You're big sister will help you in whatever way I can if you want to meet them, but first let me deal with our little eavesdropper"
Tsubaki started to panic and turn to run but as soon as she turned she immediately bumped into something soft.
"Oh!" she heard the voice and immediately recognized it, she panic even more and quickly back away and immediately started hurling apologies.

Serafall annoyance immediately fell when she took a closer look at the rapidly apologizing eavesdropper and realized it was just a little girl.
Just as she was about to tell her it was fine, she realized what the girl was wearing and felt something within her.
It was then that she realized just who the girl was.
'Guess today's So-tan lucky day' she thought with a smile.
"Nee-sama?" her sister called out from behind her.
"Hey, So-tan I found the individual we were just talking about" she said excitedly.
""What?"" Both her sister and the girl said in surprised.
"Are you serious, nee-sama?"
"ABSOLUTELY! She dress exactly like those clan members do and I could feel a scared gear inside her, it's still growing but it's definitely a gear." She answered confidently.
She then realizes how uncomfortable it would be for the girl, so she decided to introduce herself.
"Oh where are my manners, my name is Serafall Leviathan and this adorable girl here is my little sister So-tan!"
*sigh* "I'm Sona Sitri, nice to meet you"
"I-I'm Tsubaki, T-Ts-Tsubaki Shinra"
"I knew it!" The eldest exclaimed.
...
"What and who are you guys?" Tsubaki ask after taking a couple of seconds to calm herself. "I can tell you two aren't humans, and what exactly do you want with me?"
It was clear to the Leviathan that she was trying to put up a brave front.
"We're devils" Sona replied quite plainly.
...
Tsubaki's eyes widen in fear and Sona seeing this immediately explain that they won't do anything bad to her, and further explain why they were curious about her.
Tsubaki slowly calm herself down when she realized she wasn't in immediately danger.
They also asked her a few questions like why she was here and at this point Tsubaki doesn't care and answered truthfully.
"So, now that you've seen me and know who I am, what now?" she asked
"I want you to join my peerage. We'll provide you with a new home, better education and youI promise you that you won't ever be or feel locked in and isolated again" Sona answered with her sister nodding along rather enthusiastically.
Now Tsubaki realized she now has a choice, don't take the offer and live a very hard but free life, or take the offer and trust the devils to keep their promise.
After a few minutes of deliberation she decided to trust her instincts and take the offer.
"I'll take the offer and serve you." She declared with a deep bow.
Sona smiled as her sister cheered beside her.
"Nee-sama let us return to the underworld" Sona told her sister who nodded and immediately prepared a teleportation circle.
"Come Shinra-san, lets get out of here" Sona said holding her hand out.
Tsubaki, after a deep breath took the hand of her new benefactor and they soon disappeared from the spot.

<Back in the present with our MC>
"I wonder how, Rias and Sona are doing? My sensory skill is still a bit too limited in range to try and sense all the way to the Gremory and Sitri territory" I sigh out.
"I should visit them tomorrow, see if they're here."
"I really should stop talking to myself" I muttered as I finished my shower.
...
<During dinner>
"So, care to elaborate on your adventures?" dad asked.
And so I did. I really don't have anything to hide from them so I basically told them everything.
How I met Nurarihyon, Magari and how they trained me up.
Then I told them about Ayame. I could see mom narrowing her eyes at me when I mention my time with her but I skillfully ignore it.
Then came the moment I told them about meeting Azazel.
Mom looked like she was about to explode while dad just looked curious. As expected.
I manage to calm her down when I told them how the interaction went and how I got another peerage member.
"Two girls?" was mom's first question.
I just nodded.
"You want a sacred gear?" was dad's question.
"Yes, I won't say what it is, but I do have my sight set on one."
"Just be careful around the leader of the fallen, Savi-kun" mom warned.
"Yes, mom I will" I know Azazel won't do anything that could cause more rifts between the factions, he desire peace, just have to make use of that. Which was one of the reason why I was comfortable enough to send Raynare for her training. You can never be too careful.
And concerning Raynare and her training, considering how Vali turned out, I have no doubt he'll do a good job.
...
"If I'm not wrong, Rias and Sona came home a few months ago" mom suddenly said with a small grin.
I perked up hearing that, I missed those two.
"Are they still here?" I asked. Hopefully they'll still be here.
"Yes, I believe they each brought home one member for their peerage."
So, I'll be meeting Akeno and Tsubaki tomorrow. That's cool.
I need to develop a good relationship with them, especially with Akeno considering I have a fallen angel in my peerage.
It's a good thing I made plan to visit them tomorrow.
"I'll be out tomorrow if you two don't mind" they clearly don't seem to mind, mom giggled while dad just smirk.
All in all a very enjoyable dinner.
