Capítulo 66: CHAPTER 64: ASTRAL VIEW
As crazy as it sounded, the sibling used the entirety of the five days simply trying to peer into the astral world without passing out.
Hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands of times they looked into the astral world just so that they could increase the amount of time they they looked into it.
And finally, after their 52,604th try, after persevering through sheer willpower and determination, enduring unnatural levels of pain, they were finally able to get a clear glimpse of what they had been looking for.
'The pain was horrible, but this sight kinda makes it worth it.' Gideon thought with some exhaustion and also awe at the sight in front of him.
Colors. A myriad of colors could be seen everywhere on everything. Red, blue, green, yellow, pale blue, dark green, electric blue, silver, white, and black. Colors representing all the major elements flew around haphazardly but also had a unique beauty to them.
Gideon also noticed that when he looked at Victoria who was also looking at him, he saw that tear her were torrents of red and blue particles, and then the moment they got close to here they turned purple before entering her chest, probably into her astral core.
He then looked at his hands and saw that they, along with the rest of his body were covered in dark green particles that also got absorbed into he astral core.
After that, he looked at Sia and immediately had to avert his gaze slightly as she was covered in bright orange particles that made her shine like a star. He also noticed that most of the particles were concentrated around her tails.
"I call this the astral view and as you guys can see, it allows you to see astral energy. I may appear bright to you, but that's because as I'm stronger, there's a lot more elemental particles that are attracted to me." Sia explained and Gideon and Victoria cancelled their astral view as they felt a headache coming.
"That technique alone is very useful as you can use it to see where astral energy converges, letting you see attacks as well as find traps and whatnot." Sia said with a hint of pride in her tone. After all, the technique was amazing.
"However, that is only one of the building blocks to learning the anti-magic domain, so be prepared." She gave a warning and the duo nodded their heads.
"Well, since this is the last day, you guys might as well try to start controlling astral energy outside you bodies." Hearing this, the duo immediately decided to use their astral view once again.
They were expecting a great deal of pain similar to when they were learning the astral view, so they went into it with some reluctance.
When they were met with the colorful sight once again, they decided to take it slow.
The first thing they noticed was that they felt a certain level of attraction towards the elemental particles that represented their elements. In Victoria's case, fire and water.
After that, they tried to draw in the particles, but nothing happened. They expected this though and we're undeterred, so they tried with more vigor, but the results was the same, the only this that absorbed energy was their astral cores.
'Maybe I can intercept it?' Gideon thought as he tried to draw energy from the spiral that was entering his chest into his core. But nothing changed.
'They're like stubborn children.' Victoria thought with a wry smile, Gideon having a similar thought.
They looked at themselves and saw that all though the energy that was close to them stayed with them, it moved around on their bodies without a care in the world.
They then looked at Sia and were surprised to see that even though the amount of energy around her was much more than theirs, it all simply went around her body at a mediocre pace and was very tame.
"How do we do this?" Gideon cancelled the skill and asked Sia as he and Victoria were stumped.
"Well, as you've probably noticed, the astral energy does not reply to you in the slightest when you try to control it and only sticks to you since you bodies are basically magnets. But the energy inside you listens without an issue, so why not bring out the energy in your bodies and use it to interact with the energy outside." Sia gave them a hint and they immediately understood.
'So kinda like trying to convince the put of control energy to be like the tame energy.' Gideon concluded in his mind before putting it into action.
His arm was covered with poison, and through the astral view, he could see how the poison was made up of countless energy particles, but it was completely under his control.
He then waved his arm and something a bit fascinating happened. Usually, when he tried to interact with the astral energy, it would just go around his arm and ignore him completely. But when he covered his arm in poison, he found out that the poison particles around him actually faintly followed his arm.
Intrigued by the discovery, Gideon decided to move his arm once again, but cancelled the poison in the process, and immediately, the particles that were faintly following his arm stopped and went about their business.
He then wrapped his arm again and the particles once again followed his arm slightly. He also noticed that if he moved his arm too fast, the particles would stop.
The more Gideon moved his arm, the more he felt a connection with the rogue particles, albeit faint.
The more he moved his arm, the stronger the connection grew and the more the particles followed him. But the increase was very meager and gradual and soon, Gideon had to stop due to the horrible headache and so did Victoria, but they didn't feel discouraged as they knew that they were getting closer to their goal.
'The particles are strongly attracted to them and get comfortable with them very easily. Seems like they're very in tune with their own elements, despite this being their first time doing this.' Sia thought as she rubbed her chin, she too was using her astral view to see the siblings progress and was pleasantly surprised by the development.
'Though, the sensation of having someone learn a technique you created faster than you is a bit unpleasant, but I'm happy for then nonetheless.' Sia thought feeling happy and sad at the same time.
